Last week turned out to be a semi-productive week, although I didn’t get everything on my list accomplished. I had a busier school week last week which kept me busier than normal on homework and such and that contributed to my not getting as much done as I wanted to.
Here’s how I did:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1. Come up with a family activity for us to do for our Family Day on Friday. Done. Because we ended up short on time on Friday due to some other circumstances, we ended up picking up a chicken dinner meal (fully cooked π for $10) from the grocery store and bringing it home. We then watched a Scooby Doo movie with the kids, but stopped about halfway through for a homemade Kit Kat MckFlurry break. After that, we finished up the Scooby movie, which was pretty good.
2. Finish making fun halloween hand-outs with Breanna and put them in plastic baggies with candy. Also schedule a separate craft time with Breanna this week. Done.
Personal Goals:
3. Walk for 20 minutes every morning this week, and walk for 15 minutes every afternoon/evening. I intentionally walked for exercise about 5 days last week, but I wasn’t able to get it done both morning and afternoon, so I’ll be adjusting this goal for this week.
4. Finish reading Using WordPress by Tris Hussey (This is a GREAT book if you are new to WordPress, by the way.) and read 4 Chapters from Illustrator CS4 for Dummies, which I didn’t get to last week. Totally failed here. I got ahead in both books, but didn’t get anywhere near my goal.
5. Wake up by 7:30am every morning. I was able to wake up around 7:30am almost every day except one.
Home Management Goals:
6. Put the clothes that I’ve decided to keep from when I sorted through them last week into boxes. These are clothes for Isaac and David when they’re older and for the baby. Done. Ruben actually got this done for me. π
7. Go through Breanna’s old baby clothes and take out the ones I want to use for the new baby. I haven’t even started yet.
Business Goals:
8. Get business cards made! Done! Finally! I got a great deal on 100 business cards, and then a nice deal on 50 business cards that are actually shaped like business cards, but they’re stickers. Cool, huh! No, I really needed to get my business cards done for an upcoming “Networking Session” I’ll having in my web site design class.
9. Finish downloads and cancel a subscription I have for graphics. Did not get this done. Didn’t even start – hopefully, I’ll get to it this week.
10. Spend 15 minutes each day improving one thing on my blog design website,Β Purely Sensible Design.Β I think I did this 3-4 days last week – not as good as the week before, but I’m going to keep it up.
And now for this week’s goals:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1. Come up with a family activity for us to do for our Family Day on Friday.
2. Cook with Breanna for our “cooking day” and have craft time with her on Monday.
Personal Goals:
3. Walk for 30 minutes each day for exercise.
4. Finish reading Using WordPress by Tris Hussey (This is a GREAT book if you are new to WordPress, by the way.) and read 4 Chapters from Illustrator CS4 for Dummies, which I didn’t get to last week.
5. Wake up by 7:15am every morning. I’m going to try to push my wake-up time just a little bit earlier.
Home Management Goals:
6. Clean out the new baby’s changing table which quickly became a place to store random things after Ruben assembled it. We’ve actually never had a changing table before, but we found this one at Target for 75% off!
7. Go through Breanna’s old baby clothes and take out the ones I want to use for the new baby.
Business Goals:
8. Blog for 15 minutes each day.
9. Finish downloads and cancel a subscription I have for graphics.
10. Spend 15 minutes each day improving one thing on my blog design website,Β Purely Sensible Design.
What are your goals for the week?
