Its been way too long since I last updated my weight loss progress Β (3 weeks, I think), but I’ve lost another 2.5 pounds! My current weight is 205 lbs.
We are still juicing and finding new, yummy ways to create delicious, healthy juices. The kids are drinking more juice, too, and I’ve started adding more carrot into their apple juice to ease them into the vegetable juices.
I mentioned in my goals post that we are transitioning our family’s diet into a whole foods plant-based diet that’ll include very little meat and only a small amount of dairy (mostly butter). We’ve made the switch to rice milk and almond milk for cereal, coffee, recipes, etc… That change was pretty easy.
The recipes we’ve tried for meatless chili, pizza (using vegan cheese), and vegetable soup were winners, too.
I’m planning on writing more about our diet changes and sharing recipes on The Sensible Mom in the future. π
Here’s how my weight loss progress looks now:
Beginning weight:Β 220 lbs.
Current Weight:Β 205 lbs.
Goal Weight:Β 170 lbs.
# of total pounds I want to lose in 2012:Β 50lbs.
# of pounds to go until I reach my goal:Β 35 lbs.
Total # of pounds lost to date:Β 15 lbs.

Great job on your loss! I can’t wait to hear more about your diet. I’ll be interested to hear how it affects how you feel too. I lost 2 lbs. this week which makes for a total of 27 for the year!

Great job Sandra. I have not checked the scale recently. I have been getting a lot more exercise with summer somewhat being here. Nothing formal but lots of yard/garden work. We recently put out compost in our flower beds and I pressure washed the walkway around our shed. It was so slick when wet I almost fell a few times so it really needed to be done. Then today I washed our vinyl fence that looked pretty bad. But it is nice and clean now. I am still limiting my eating at night. My eating in front of the tv time has now been replaced with writing time. I am sure every little thing helps. Hope you have a great week and I am looking forward to your posts on your diet changes and recipes.
