Another week has gone by, and I’ve lost another pound. That’s right, I’m down to 200.5 lbs.
That’s so close to 200 pounds, which means I’m THIS >< CLOSE to being UNDER 200 pounds.
I haven’t been under 200 pounds in 12 years.
Twelve years.
The last time I remember being in the 190ish range for my weight was after I gave birth to Nathan, our 12 yr. old son. I gained the most weight of any of my pregnancies with Nathan – 100 pounds. But then I lost over 50 lbs. after I gave birth and remember getting down to around 192 lbs. at my lowest weight postpartum.
Then I started to gain weight.
Then I started Weight Watchers.
Then I quit Weight Watchers, and it’s pretty much been an uphill battle with my weight until the Lord opened our eyes to how we could lose weight and be healthy without drastically cutting calories and having to constantly worry if we are exercising enough.
All of those changes started around 1.5 yrs ago, and we continue to make even more changes by juicing and cutting out or reducing our consumption of most animal products.
Side note: We will be dressing like cows tomorrow and getting our free meal at Chick-fil-a. *cough* So by most animal products, I don’t meanΒ all or all the time. π
On that happy note…here’s what my weight loss progress looks like:
Beginning weight:Β 220 lbs.
Current Weight:Β 200.5 lbs.
Goal Weight:Β 170 lbs.
# of total pounds I want to lose in 2012:Β 50lbs.
# of pounds to go until I reach my goal:Β 30.5 lbs.
Total # of pounds lost to date:Β 19.5 lbs.
Howβs your weight loss journey going?
P.S. I did make it on the treadmill 1 day last week. It’s the second time I’ve been on the treadmill since we’ve moved to Georgia, but I’m working on getting back on track with my goals and going to make treadmill time more of a priority.

That is go great you are so close to getting under 200 pounds. Also good for you getting back into a routine with the treadmill. I am so bad about exercising other than just playing with the kids or working in the garden.
I have been watching myself to make sure I am only eating when I am hungry. The last two weeks have went fairly well. I lost another 1.5 pounds this week. Which I was really shocked about because I did not think I had really made much of a change in how much I was eating. I guess it goes to show how many calories you can eat without really knowing it.
Hope you week goes well and you see a number starting with a 1 really soon on the scale.

Doesn’t it feel good to not only see the scales going down in number, but to also SEE the results physically?! Keep up the hard work, you CAN do it!

Patty

You’re doing great, Sandra! I know this is hard work. It’s great to see you achieve your goals!
I gained my 3 back this week, unfortunately, but it’s not over. Just time to work a little harder.

Sweet, I was stopping by here to connect with you since we have so much in common as blog designers only to find that you are also on a weight loss journey.
I found your site via BloggingWithAmy.com and wanted to reach out. I’m also a member of the Blog Designer Network, I’m certified in web design too, and well…we have a lot in common!
I joined Weight Watchers in January and the program helped me to lose 20 pounds. I’ve recently switched to MyFitnessPal.com and have lost 6 pounds so far. I actually like MyFitnessPal better because it’s free (holla!) and it’s so much easier to find food in their database.
I have a TON of tips to share with anyone who’s interested, but for now, I wanted to mention the Walk Away the Pounds videos by Leslie Sansone. I’ve never been the type to work out regularly, so I got my start in fitness with her exercise videos. They’re broken up into 30-minute sessions and cater to all fitness levels. What’s most appealing about workout videos in general is that they can be done in the comfort of home — there’s no excuse to not work out. Lol
I’m a Pinterest fanatic and have a board dedicated to low-calorie recipes if you’d like to connect there too ~ http://pinterest.com/modernmusenv.
I’m playing with the thought of starting up a blog dedicated to sharing my weight-loss tidbits, but I don’t want to spread myself too thin (har). I’ve come to find that blogging is a full-time endeavor. π
Best of luck to you, Sandra! Please let me know if you need anything at all. xo
