As much as I tried last week, I wasn’t able to get all of my goals accomplished.
But I got quite a few either done or half-way done.
Here’s how I did:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1. Continue working toward making family worship time a habit. I want to keep this on the list another week.
2. Spend quality time reading to the kids. Isaac has several ‘bug books’ from the library that we need to read.Personal Goals:
3. Drink juice at least 3 days this week4. Read 120 pages of the book Sacred Marriage by Gary Thomas (affiliate link). – I’m around page 94 in this book. Its been a good read, and I’m looking forward to finishing it this week. I hope.
5. Walk on the treadmill at least 2 days this weekHome Management Goals:
6. Unpack 4 boxes from the garage – As much as I tried, I was only able to unpack 2 boxes.
7. Organize the office room closetBusiness Goals:
8. Spend time praying for this blog
9. Spend time in prayer for our design business
10. Create a sponsorship page for The Sensible Mom
And now for this week’s goals:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1. Look for a devotional book Ruben and I can go through with the kids
2. Spend more time playing with the kids in their rooms
Personal Goals:
3. Drink juice at least 3 days this week
4. Finish reading the book Sacred Marriage by Gary Thomas (affiliate link).
5. Walk on the treadmill at least 2 days this week
Home Management Goals:
6. Unpack 2 boxes from the garage
7. Dust
Business Goals:
8. Begin reading a book I’ll be reviewing here on The Sensible Mom (book is titled, Mother of Pearl)
9. Pray about writing an ebook and the topic it should be focused on
10. Pitch to like-minded businesses – at least 1 or 2

Sandra, it looks like you got most of your goals done. Good job. I am working on getting my Bible reading each day and so far this week I have gotten to it each day. We are working on some of the kids homeschooling this summer and we are continuing that this week. I am blogging about my cleaning posts too.
I like your goal to dust. That is why I am doing a cleaning series to get the dust and clutter under control after a couples of week or minimal cleaning things can really pile up along with the dust.
Hope you week goes well.

Hi Shelly! I did work harder on getting my goals accomplished last week. With the unpacking, though, it seems like things just seemed to be popping up and getting in the way of my finishing. Oh well! I’m going to try to unpack the 2 boxes that I didn’t get done last week – this week.
I love your cleaning series so far. Dusting is definitely needing to be done at our house. I don’t know why, but we have so much dust! I know this house had some renovating done before we bought it and there was TONS of dust vacuumed up after we moved it…..but it still seems to accumulate so much.
Anyway, I hope you have a great week, too! 🙂

Great job with your goals last week!! It makes you feel so accomplished when you cross those off your list! For me I have a ton on my lists, but here are a few:
1. Read a daily Bible plan and pray before I even get out of bed.
2. Daily workout
3. Blog 3-4 times this week
4. Spend more quality time with my family
I hope that you have a blessed week and you get much accomplished!!

Hi Carrie! Those look like great goals. I’m working on spending more time in my Bible and in prayer. I want to get more blogging in too, and start ‘just writing’ more often.
I hope you enjoy the quality time with your family! 🙂

I also have been looking for a devotional that we could use with our kids. I ordered this kids’ Bible study called Spark Family which we have been using, but I didn’t realize that it follows their Spark Family Bible. Our kids’ Bibles don’t have every single Bible story in them, and sometimes they don’t have the stories that this study uses. The kids seem to like it though.

Hi Erin, it can be hard to find a good family devotional these days. I’m hoping the one I got recently off of amazon for the kindle turns out to be a good one.
On a side note, I recently got the chance to review a bible DVD that I thought did a great job of telling the truth of scripture along with facts about the bible itself – all in a fun and child-friendly way. You’ve probably heard of the DVDs called, “What’s in the Bible?” They are by the same folks who make Veggietales, but these DVDs are different and so far get a big thumbs up from me.
