Well, last week I didn’t get a whole lot accomplished as far as my goals went. I went to a blog conference, which was a lot of fun, but it didn’t help me to get much crossed off my list. π
Here’s how I did with last weekβs goals:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1. Create reading goals for the kids. The three oldest will be doing the BookIt! Program.
2. Be off the computer from 8-9pm when the kids are getting ready for bed (working on making this a habit)
Personal Goals:
3. Go to bed by 11:30pm
4. Read my bible everyday this week
5. Exercise with the kids– I’m counting this as all the times I walked around carrying Elisabeth at the conference or walking with her in the stroller. I got quite a bit of walking in last week.Home Management Goals:
6. Make more
conditionerand body scrub7. Clean and wipe down the bathroom and kitchen sinks
Business Goals:
8. Go over the upcoming blog conference schedule with Ruben and make a plan for how weβll work things
9. Attend a blog conference and network with other bloggers (After almost 4 years as a blogger, Iβm going to my very first conference. So exciting!)10. Blog at least 5 times this week
So as you can see, I didn’t get a whole lot done, and I’m thankful for fresh a new week! But it does involve another blog conference, so I’m going to try to keep my goals more doable this time.
Here are this weekβs goals:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1. Create reading goals for the kids. The three oldest will be doing the BookIt! Program.
2. Read to the kids
Personal Goals:
3. Buy a new dress – I haven’t worn a dress in over 10 years, so this should be an experience. I’m hoping to find a dress that costs less than $25 and that fits me well. I know that may be asking for a lot. π
4. Read my bible everyday this week
5. Exercise with the kids
Home Management Goals:
6. Make more body scrub
7. Tidy up the house for my sister’s visit this week
Business Goals:
8. Go over the upcoming blog conference schedule with Ruben and make a plan for how weβll work things – Ruben was able to keep Elisabeth with him in the evenings during the last conference, which freed me up to attend the evening functions, network and chat with my sister.
I’m hoping we can somehow do the same thing this week…although, it’ll be harder because we aren’t staying in a nearby hotel. Our house is about 50 minutes away from the conference hotel, so we obviously don’t want to get a hotel room and would rather save money by sleeping at home. But then there’s no local place for Ruben to hang out with 5 kids while I attend the conference in the evenings. We’ll see how things work out.
9. Attend a blog conference and network with other bloggers
10. Continue working on a project in progress
What goals do you have for this week?Β
P.S. For those interested, I’m going to be posting short posts of the things I gleaned from last week’s Bloggy Conference. I’m hoping to get my first update post up today.

I think you were able to get quite a bit accomplished this week with going to a conference so far from your home. I am looking forward to reading your posts about the Bloggy conference too.
I was able to get about half of my goals done this past week and today we started doing Bible reading at breakfast with the kids. This is a goal I have had for a few weeks but just hadn’t gotten done. I made it a priority this week.
Hope you have a great time at the next conference and you can work out all the details to work best for you and your family.

Hi Shelly! I’m glad you were able to make progress on your goals this past week. Even getting half of your goals done is a big accomplishment.
I’m glad you have been able to get started on Bible reading at breakfast with your kids. This is something I definitely would love to do with our kids once the baby gets a little older and breakfast time is less hectic. The mornings tend to be the most hectic time of the day for me. I’m working on getting to bed earlier, so that I can start getting up before the kids, which will make for more peaceful mornings.
I’m hoping things work out for the conference this week, too. I’m extremely thankful to be able to attend these two conferences. π
I hope you have a great week, Shelly!

I’m looking forward to your Bloggy Conference posts, too!!!
Before I became a single mom, I used to homeschool and we absolutely loved the BookIt! program. π
I have several avid readers and I’d like to think BookIt helped.

You really did get a lot accomplished this week. Getting ready for a trip can be stressful especially if you haven’t been to one before.
My goal for this week is to survive this week! I will be flying for the first time ever in my life on Friday to go to a huge social media event in Orlando. Getting a bit nervous, but praying that I have a great weekend of tons of learning and meeting tons of people that I talk to daily online.
