Life has been busy, busy, busy this past week, but I did get almost all of my goals crossed off my list. I’m thankful for that.
Here’s how I did with last week’s goals:
Here are this week’s goals:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Make a fall treat for our family – something with pumpkin in it(we made pumpkin donut holes)2.
Read to the kids and return library booksPersonal Goals:
3. Wake up by 5:30am every morning — While I didn’t get up by 5:30 every morning, I have consistently been getting up before most of the kids. That has been making a big difference in my day. Big. It allows me time to work in the morning before the kids crowd into the office and the morning craziness starts.
4. Read my bible everyday this week — I did open my Bible almost everyday this week. 🙂
5.
Exercise with the kids— We took a fun trip to the zoo!Home Management Goals:
6.
Tidy up the area around the DVD player and remove unnecessary clutter7.
Go through Elisabeth’s clothes and remove the pieces that no longer fit herBusiness Goals:
8.
Attend a webinar9.
Write 3 blog posts10.
Work on client projects
Here are this week’s goals:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1. Make another fall treat for our family – something with pumpkin in it
2. Buy a few pieces of winter clothes for the kids – We were blessed to live close to family in Illinois and rarely had to buy more than a few pieces of clothes a year for each of the kids. Our family generously provided cute and even trendy clothes for the kids for birthdays and holidays or even ‘just because.’ Now that we live in Georgia, though, we’re pretty much on our own. Lol! 🙂
This is a new thing for me and with five kids that can get pretty expensive. Thankfully, we homeschool, and the kids don’t need a lot of clothes or the coolest, cutest clothes to fit in.
Personal Goals:
3. Wake up by 6:30am every morning
4. Read my bible everyday this week
5. Have a date night with Ruben
Home Management Goals:
6. Unpack one box from the garage – Yes, we still have a lot of boxes to unpack…not of stuff we really need, though. I’m unpacking a box of toys for the kids. I may regret it.
7. Clean and tidy up the school room
Business Goals:
8. Attend 1 webinar and 1 Twitter party
9. Write 3 blog posts
10. Work on client projects
What are your goals for this week?

We are blessed to have gotten clothes from others at our church. It is also great that my kids are not picky about what kind of clothes they wear. I think my 6 year old is more picky then my 16 year old.
I will be working on a few goals I did not get done last week. Some days just seem so busy and full. I really need to work on doing better at planning so we don’t end up with a full day and then a day without too much to do.
I want to give a new recipe a try this week too. I am thinking about trying brownies in a mug. A great way to do portion control or maybe your pumpkin doughnut holes.

Hi Shelly! Getting clothes from others is such a blessing. And I think our kids are alike. My oldest son was FAR more picky about what clothes he wore than my oldest daughter. Lol! When he’d get off the bus (preschool), he’d immediately want to change his clothes into something that had characters on them. 🙂
I’m looking forward to hearing how your brownies in a mug turn out. I’m sure that’s a treat my kids would love.

I really enjoy reading your goals. I get such inspiration from your ideas. 🙂
Here’s a link to my weekly goals. Homemaking is much more fun than being a working mom. At least, I think so. I know not everyone agrees. I miss it. :/

Hi Gina!
Thanks for sharing your goals! And I can totally relate to the inner struggle of having to work outside the home when your heart is to be at home. That is hard. For years, I worked outside the home when my kids were small. I remember having to go back to work when my son was only 10 weeks old. 🙁
Praying for you!
