Today was a good day. I was able to get caught up on some of my emails, and I got my How To Make Homemade Deodorant video done. It’s uploading to YouTube as I write.
Overall, here’s how I did with the Day 9 Assignment:
:: Get dressed in something that makes you feel great. — I wore the same outfit you’ve seen in a previous post. You’ll notice it when I post the Homemade Deodorant video tomorrow. 🙂
:: Refer to your list of weekly goals, and make a list of no more than 5-7 specific things you want to accomplish today.
Here’s my Day 9 List:
:: Set the timer for 15 minutes and do a quick-clean of your bathroom. — I cleaned the hall bathroom, and while I was cleaning it, my 3 year-old snuck out of bed and went into my office and shut my laptop while my How To Make Homemade Deodorant video was uploading to YouTube. I ended up having to start the process over again…I just checked and it should be done uploading in 2 hours.
:: Clean your light switch plates. — Done, and I was happy to see this as one of the assignments for today. I can’t remember the last time I’ve cleaned the light switches.
One more day (Day 10), and I’ll be caught up!
I’m hoping to smush Day 10 and Day 11 together tomorrow.
Have you cleaned your light switches lately? Have you ever uploaded a video to YouTube? I’m doing mine in HD and uploading from iMovie, so I guess that’s why it takes forever…

My husband recently uploaded a video to You Tube but I haven’t given it a try myself yet. I am hoping to learn how real soon. I also cleaned my light switches and door knobs again today trying to keep the germs down in our house now that both the kids are sick. 🙁

Hi Shelly, you should definitely try to make a video. 🙂 It not as hard as it may seem. I think trying to keep the noise level down in the background (with 5 kids) is the hardest part for me. Lol.

Oh my goodness, I would have been so mad if my little guy had done that to my computer! I hope it wasn’t too much of a pain to restart your video download 🙂
I feel like I am so technologically challenged that I wouldn’t have the first clue on how to download to You Yube. I really admire how much you do with your blog!

Hi Erin! I admit that I was not happy for about 5 minutes after he did it. But I got over it and just started again. I left my laptop open so that it could upload while I slept. 🙂
It’s definitely not hard to upload a video to youtube, but it can be time consuming. A screencast might take 30 minutes to upload for me. While a video like the one I made in HD could take 4 hours. I, of course, don’t have to do really anything after the upload starts. – other than make sure my 3yo doesn’t shut my computer and stop the upload. Lol!
