I wrote my goals down on my calendar again last week, so I was able cross off most of them off of my list. I’m working on catching up on some work projects this week, so I’m going to keep my goals fairly simple.
Here’s what I was able to cross off of last week’s goals:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1. Read specific books to Isaac and David for the library’s winter reading program — After trying two or three times to get this done, I decided to let it go. David wanted to read the same book over and over, and we never got to the rest of the books in the stack. Nathan and Breanna did finish their reading, and they got their prizes from the library. David and Isaac seem to have forgotten about it now, so I’m not going to mention it, because the winter reading program ended on the last day of February.
2.
Buy voucher to use for David’s birthdayPersonal Goals:
3. Drink juice 4 days this week — I only did this 3 days.
4.
Read 10 pages of the book Desperate5.
Walk on the treadmill 4 days for at least 30 minutes each time— Woohoo! I got this done, and it was a big accomplishment.Home Management Goals:
6.
Unpack three boxes7.
Wipe down the sofas (again)Business Goals:
8. Work on three projects — I only got around to working on two projects. I’m behind.

Good job on walking on the treadmill! I know you’ve been wanting to do that for a while 🙂
How are you enjoying Desperate? I really loved it…wish I could meet Sally Clarkson for coffee one day!

Thanks, Erin! I have been wanting to do that for awhile and having an accountability partner is making a huge difference.
I love Desperate! I’m reading slowly and trying to think about and apply what I read as I’m going along.

Great job on getting your exercise in this week and getting so many of your goals accomplished. By the way what kind of couch do you have that you need to wipe down. I am assuming it is a leather type couch. But I know you have mentioned this a few times so I am just curious. 🙂 I can understand with 5 kids the couch may be in need of wiping down often.
My goals this week include working on getting my exercise in each day. I did it today so one day down so far. I would also like to get a few things planted in the garden and start our hot weather plants from seed in the house this week. I can’t believe it is already March. I am also working on getting to bed on time, since I am working on getting up early. I need at least 7 hours of sleep to function. I think that is because I don’t drink coffee.
Have a great week.

Thank you, Shelly! I’ve found that writing my goals down on my calendar is making a huge difference. My husband actually just came home with a really big dry erase calendar for me that I think is going to work even better. 🙂
As for why I wipe down the couch…when we left Georgia, we threw away our old sofa (we only had one and it wouldn’t have fit in our moving truck plus even though it looked great on the outside…it was pretty gross). We decided to get leather couches here in IL because we could wipe them down. With three boys, they need to be wiped down often! Lol! 🙂
I hope you had a great week, and I’m enjoying your posts where you share about working towards making getting up early a habit. You’re doing great! And you’re definitely inspiring me!

Great job on your exercise! I was curious about your juice – do you drink just juice? Like the kind you make with a juicer? and if so, do you find it helps you feel better? Just wondering. I’ve never tried it.
Sandra says
Hi Jamie! I actually do have a juicer, and we make fresh juice a few times a week. When we juice, we try to make enough for two days at a time.
The juices are wonderful! They are different from what you’d buy at the store, and they’re not smoothies…just juice and nutrients! 🙂
