I ended up getting most of my goals finished last week, but certainly not all of them. The last two weeks have been busy, and I realize that I was trying to squeeze too many things into each day. Something had to give, and I didn’t end up clipping coupons at all last week. The stack of coupons to be organized and clipped continues to grow. It’s the size of a small mountain now.
Just kidding.
Seriously though, instead of clipping coupons for 2 hours, we had a great family night on Sunday. We watched a movie and ate popcorn and homemade cinnamon rolls. π
Here’s how I did with all of my goals last week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Cook with Nathan2.
Read library books to the kidsPersonal Goals:
3. Drink juice 2 days this week — I only had juice one day last week, but in place of this I did eat a lot more fruits and vegetables.
4.
Read 10 pages of the book Desperate5.
Walk on the treadmill for 2 hours over the course of the week and workout my arms at least once this weekHome Management Goals:
6. Unpack one box
7. Clip coupons that continue to pile up
Business Goals:
8.
Work on projects9.
Return emails10.

Here are my goals for this week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1. Cook with Breanna
2. Read library books to the kids — I’m checking out new books for them today.
Personal Goals:
3. Drink juice 2 days this week
4. Read 10 pages of the book Desperate
5. Walk on the treadmill for 2.5 hours over the course of the week and workout my arms at least 2x this week — I’m challenging myself a little more this week.
Home Management Goals:
6. Unpack one box
7. Clip coupons that continue to pile up β Iβm still not giving up on this goal. But if I don’t clip coupons this week, I’m going to rethink our newspaper subscription. If I don’t have time for it now, maybe we’ll take a break and start up again in the future. We’ll see.
Business Goals:
8. Work on one client project
9. Return emails
10. Write 4 blog posts
What are your goals for this week?

We made cinnamon rolls over the weekend too. Looks like you did well on your goals this past week. I think choosing family time over coupon clipping was a great choice. Kids are only small for so long. There will always be more coupons. π

Hi Shelly! That’s true. The kids are only small once, but there will always be more coupons. π

I had to put the people in my life first a few times last week and put the chores and to do lists second. Hopefully you can get the coupons clipped this week! Good luck.
Sandra says
Thanks, Jenny! I still haven’t gotten to the pile yet, but I’m planning on it over the weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

Hey Sandra…instead of worrying about clipping your coupons, have you tried just storing the coupon inserts and clipping out the coupons when you need them? Using a coupon database, you can find the ones you need in no time.
Good luck on your goals this week!

Hi Erin! This is a great idea! I’ve stored my extra inserts in the past (my sisters-in-law used to get be TONS of extra inserts that I’d file by month), and I may start doing this again. If I honestly can’t tame my pile over the weekend, I’m going to try filing them.

Hello Sandra,
Thanks for sharing. I am inspired by your post to become more organized and be more consistent with my goals. It’s a good idea to track them on a weekly basis. Will try it.
Sandra says
Hi Jann! You should totally try to set even a few goals on a weekly basis. It makes a big difference, and you can get more accomplished that you may’ve thought. π
