Last week, I made the mistake of not writing my goals down on my calendar, which led to me not getting more of them crossed off my list. Oh well. I made decent progress anyway. I’m going to be thankful for that.
Here’s what I accomplished last week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Take time and simply relax as a family2. Play outside with the kids at least 3 times this week — I think we actually played outside twice. It was so funny, because one of the days, I played tag with the kids and my daughter looked at me and was like, “Mom? You run?” To switch I responded, “Yes, I run!” 🙂 You just haven’t seen me do it very often…
Personal Goals:
3.
Drink juice 2 days this week4. Read 10 pages of the book Desperate
5.
Workout at least 5 days this week (I’m in a Hello Mornings accountability group that’s going to help me accomplish my exercise goal. Part of my accountability has to do with exercising every weekday in addition be reading my Bible and planning my day before the kids wake up.)Home Management Goals:
6.
Clean the master bedroom, which is kind of a mess after unpacking7.
Work on de-cluttering one of the kid’s bedroomsBusiness Goals:

Return emails10.
Write 4 blog posts

What are your goals for this week?

I’m just getting started with trying out weekly goals. I’ve been a semi-fan of daily to-do lists, but overall, I have found them to lack flexibility. So I’m trying out weekly to-do lists. So far, they seem to work much better for me.

That’s great, Melinda! You’ve got to do what works with your personality and lifestyle. 🙂

I am trying to make some progress with my reading list. Last week I was hoping to read a chapter but only was able to get half a chapter done. I am hoping to finish that chapter this week. I also really need to increase my water intake. I let it slowly drop off by not being diligent about getting my water in and now I have to get used to drinking more again.
I started laughing when I read what your daughter said to you about running. How funny!
Sandra says
Thanks, Shelly! I couldn’t believe she thought it was weird that I was running. 🙂
As for reading, I know I’ll never be able to read 4 books a month like other moms, and I’m fine with that. As long as I can read a book from start to finish…even if it’s only 10 pages per week…I’m happy.
I’m right there with you with the water. I have issues and can’t seem to ever drink enough.

What a cute story about your daughter and running!
Sandra says
Thanks, Erin. I guess I need to run in front of them more often, so that they won’t be so surprised next time. Lol!
