I was able to accomplish most of my goals last week, but I waited until the last minute to get on the treadmill, so I almost wasn’t able to cross that off my list.
Thankfully, my husband took care of our two youngest so that I could exercise for an hour before I went to bed yesterday. I’m still working on getting up before Elisabeth, my 18-month-old daughter, and I haven’t been able to be consistent. I’m going to work on being steady with my wake up time this week.
I’m shooting for 6:00am.
Here’s what I was able to get accomplished last week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1. Take Breanna to get her hair cut — This just didn’t work out last week. It’s back on the calendar for this week!
2.
Go on a fun family outingPersonal Goals:
3. Drink juice or smoothies 2 days this week — I only had juice once last week. The holiday threw things off for me diet-wise. I was actually doing well and had lost weight Β (brought my weight down to 181 lbs.) only to bring it right back up again to 185.5 lbs. Oh well! I’m back to eating healthy today.
4.
Read 10 pages of the book Desperate5.
Walk on the treadmill for 1 hourHome Management Goals:
6.
Clean the sink in the kids’ bathroom7.
Check out Restaurant.com and see if I can use some of the rewards I have for certificates to places we can eat later this month when life gets crazyBusiness Goals:
8. Get caught up on work — There is one thing I have yet to finish that I wanted to get done last week.

What are your goals for this week?
Debbie says
Hi Sandra,
It seems like the last week or so, my to-do list just keeps moving from one day to the next.
I found that I’m busy all day, but at the end, when I check my list, I haven’t accomplished anything written, but much that wasn’t!
Such is the life of a mom, right?
Time to stay home more and focus!
Sandra says
Hi Debbie, I can definitely relate to what you just described. π
I’ve found that if I don’t intentionally look at my list of things to do and keep it near me (or write to-do’s) on my calendar, then I will simply find things to do that aren’t on my list. Then I’ll look back at my list and wonder what in the world I was doing and why I didn’t get anything done. Lol!

I like the idea of making weekly goals rather than daily ones! I think I could accomplish my list if I gave myself a week!
Sandra says
Go for it, Ginny! You can do it! If you are intentional about it, you can make some real progress and get a few monkeys off your back in the process. π

Making a kite with your kids sounds like a great time! What a great science lesson while having fun π
Sandra says
Hi Lydia, we made the kite on Monday, and it turned out great! π I’ll be sharing pictures here on the blog very soon.

Looks like you did really well on your goals last week. Great job on getting an hour in of exercise. It is hard finding time to exercise with little ones around. I get up at 6 am each weekday to get my exercise in before the kids get up. It is the only way I can get exercise consistently done. If I wait until later in the day then I will just talk myself out of doing it. π

Thanks, Shelly! I was able to get up right around 6am today, and I made it on the treadmill before my daughter woke up. I’m hoping tomorrow is the way, except that I want to stay on the treadmill longer.
Erin @ My Mommy World says
Great job on getting your exercise in this week! I always feel so much better when I workout everyday.
Sandra says
Thanks, Erin! I’m working on getting some exercise in daily. I got off track, and I’m slowly starting back up again. I was able to spend a little time on the treadmill this morning before the baby woke up.
