I was able to cross almost everything off my list for last week.
I completely missed drinking a single one of my lemon (or lime) water concoctions. And I only wrote one blog post last week, but this week should be different.
Now that the July 4th holiday has passed, and my neighbors are no longer having illegal fireworks competitions in their backyards… My kids should be able to sleep a little better, and I should (hopefully) get back to having more time to myself after they go to bed. ๐
Here’s what I accomplished last week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family — We tend to go around the table during mealtimes and practice each verse.2.

2.ย Plan a fun Family Day at home — Our family days usually happen on Sunday afternoons, and lately, they’ve involved a movie and fun snacks. To be completely honest, we’ve been watching The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings films week after week for a while now. We went through all five movies and now we’re checking out the extended versions from the library. ๐

What are your goals for this week?

Sandra, you did a great job on your goals last week. How are you liking the Tasty Food Photography book?
I cut back on a few goals this week since we are starting to remodel our main bathroom. I’m just working on the vanity this week then once it’s done we will tackle the bathtub. It’s a lot of work but it should be nice when done.
Hope you have a great week.

Thank you, Shelly. I love the Tasty Food Photography book. I’ve already switched which lens I’m using with my camera, because apparently I had a better one and wasn’t using it. I’m also learning more about the settings on my camera.
It’s interesting, you know. I’m in the process of learning from a few different food photographers, and they all have different advice and a way of doing things. There’s no one-size-fits-all-way, and I like that.
Good thinking on cutting back on your goals while you tackle remodeling the bathroom. I can’t wait to hear how it turns out! ๐

Oh dear, illegal fireworks make me so nervous…I’m always afraid one of them is going to come down on the house and set it on fire!
I hope you can get back on track this week after all the craziness of the holiday!

Thanks, Erin!
