I was able to cross almost everything off my list from last week.
In case you ever wonder how I stay mostly on top of my goals after I set them, my not-so-secret tool is Google Calendar. I use it so often and it’s become such a helpful tool that I finally stopped using any sort of tangible planner.
In the past, I couldn’t stay organized without physically writing out and scheduling things in my planner, but now that I use Google Calendar and realize how much better organized it allows me to be, I did away with my planner.
Someday, I may write a post to share why I personally love Google Calendar. ๐
Anyway, here’s what I accomplished last week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family2.ย
Plan a fun Family Day at home — Our family days usually happen on Sunday afternoons, and lately, they’ve involved a movie and fun snacks. To be completely honest, we’ve been watching The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings films week after week for a while now. We went through all five movies and now we’re checking out the extended versions from the library.Personal Goals:
3.
Read 20 pages ofย Virtual Freedomย (affiliate link)ย by Chris Ducker4.
Walk a total of 95 minutes on the treadmill5.ย Drink water with lemon (or lime) and cayenne pepper 5x — I only drank this twice.
6.
Read 20 pages of Tasty Food Photography by Pinch of YumHome Management Goals:
7.
Organize Elisabeth’s play area — It’s become overridden with LEGOs.8.ย
Unpack one box in the basement— I decided to unpack a garbage bag of old swimming/pool stuff that was sitting in the basement instead of one of the boxes.Business Goals:
9.
Get caught up on emails10.

I need to figure out how to use my iCal on my computer for some reason I just can’t seem to get the alerts to work for me and it doesn’t sync right with all my devices. Maybe someday I’ll figure it out and get more organized like you. ๐ Until then I’ll have to stick with my written calendar. I would love to see how you use the Google Calendar.
You did a great job on your goals. Way to go getting all your minutes in on the treadmill. Your doing a great job with your exercising.

Thank you, Shelly! Google Calendar is wonderful. I love that I can easily schedule things and many of the items on my calendar are “repeated” so they automatically appear week after week. For example, I set making a menu plan to repeat every Sunday.
Another reason why I switched it that I can easily move things around from day to day without having to scribble them out and rewrite them for another day. ๐

I myself use lists to get things done, otherwise I’d be lost!
