Well, my plan to get up before all of my children every morning didn’t really work out the way I thought it would. I didn’t exactly help myself by going to bed late every night.
But it’s a new week, right? I’ve learned my lesson, and I’m ready to try again! ๐
Here’s what I accomplished last week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family2.ย
Plan Breanna’s birthday celebration — We keep things low key, and it’ll just be our family of seven. But still…her birthday will feel a whole lot more special with a bit of planning ahead.Personal Goals:
3.ย
Start a prayer journal4.
Walk a total of 60 minutes on the treadmill5.
Read 20 pages of The Hobbit (affiliate link) by J.R.R. Tolkein6. Get up by 6:00am every morning — I went to bed too late most nights and completely failed at getting up by 6:00am each day. But I did end up making progress in my wakeup times by the end of the week. Setting a later “backup” alarm helped. ๐ This week, I’m going to focus on getting to bed by 11:00pm.
Home Management Goals:
7.
Sew my slipper8.
Fill a bag with items to donateBusiness Goals:
9.
Return emails10. Write a blog post recapping David’s Make-A-Wish trip! — I’m about 70% done. This is a picture-rich post that required quite a bit of time in Photoshop.

You did a great job on your goals last week, Sandra! I know adjusting to getting up early can be hard. I need to start getting up a little earlier myself. I hope this week goes well for you!
Sandra says
Thank you, Shelly! I hope you have a great week, too! ๐

I had to fill out a health questionnaire tonight for insurance. It told me that I need to work on my sleep habits. For some reason there was no where to say, what am I suppose to do with a newborn?!! I would be like you, would rather stay up late than get up early.
Looking forward to seeing pictures from your Make-a-wish trip!

That’s so funny, Lydia! They should add in an option to say “I have a newborn baby. You know what that means in terms of sleep.” ๐

Awesome goals! What’s your family fun day that you’re planning? We are doing one this weekend with our family. We are taking them to a fun place called busy barns and you get to do hayrides and apple picking, go through a corn maze. It will be a good time ๐
Hope you have a great week!

Hi Shay! We’ll, it looks like we’re planning on watching the extended edition of one of the Lord of the Rings again. ๐ We’ll have snacks, too.
Your family day sounds like a lot of fun! I’ve been looking into semi-local farms to pick apples, but I’m concerned about germs at the moment. We actually caught colds while in Florida and still haven’t fully recovered as a family.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend, too, Shay!
