It seems that since I’m no longer sick, I’m having trouble getting to bed early and waking up before my kids… again.
This of course means that I did a terrible job of actually getting up before most of my children were awake and needing me.
But I’m not giving up!
I WILL make getting up early a habit.
I think I just need an accountability partner or something. ๐
Along with sleeping later than I’d planned, I put off breaking out the juicer, too. But I did well getting everything else crossed off my list.
Here’s what I accomplished last week:

1.
Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family2.

What are your goals for this week?
Shelly says
Keep working at making getting up early a habit. I know you can do it.
You did great on your goals from last week. I see you have do an experiment with the kids this week on your goals. My kids love experiments. I think we could do one everyday and my kids would never get bored with it. ๐
Hope you have a great week.

Hi Shelly! You know, my kids are the same. They would love doing an experiment every day. It’s me that can’t handle that! ๐
Lydia @ Not Afraid of the Snow says
Hopefully you are able to knock out the sickness this week! I slept 12 hours last night and it was bliss! One little early morning feeding in that time, but I will take it. I fell asleep at 8 last night as I was putting Esther to sleep!
Gotta love those old pies of mail. I have a small one sitting on my coffee table that I need to get to before it gets too large! Once they start, they just tend to grow!

I’m glad you were able to get a good stretch of sleep, Lydia! That’s a rare treat while caring for a baby! ๐
Erin @ My Mommy World says
Good job on your goals this week! I know getting up early is hard, but it is SO nice to be up before the kids. I love using that 30 minutes or so to drink a cup of coffee and read my Bible and current book in QUIET. It really helps me get going for the day.
Sandra says
That sounds so nice, Erin. ๐ You know, I USED to be able to get up well before my kids before I had baby #5. But since 2011 (yes, pathetic, I know), I haven’t been able to get back into waking up before my kids on a consistent basis. I’m going to keep trying, though.

Good Job writing your goals down. They say that you are more likely to complete them because they are written. I am with you about getting up early. I just can not do it. I am not a morning person at all and just struggle with it every morning. Then I have to actually work out too. Good luck this week with your goals and next. Can’t wait to come back and see if you conquered that 7am alarm. ๐
Sandra says
Thanks, Cyndi! I definitely didn’t end up conquering the alarm clock, but here’s to a new week! ๐
