I hope you were able to enjoy extra time with your family last week.
We stayed home most of the week, but we did get out as a family to see the final Hobbit movie in IMAX 3D. It was a wonderful experience. ๐
As far as my goals, I wish I could’ve crossed off more. But that’s okay; I should have time to really tackle them this week.
Here’s what I accomplished last week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family2.ย
Make homemade cinnamon rollsPersonal Goals:
3.
Do resistance band exercises 4x4.
Walk a total of 120 minutes on the treadmill5. Read 20 pages of The Most Important Place on Earthย (affiliate link) by Robert Wolgemuth — I’ve been having a hard time picking this book up lately. Not because it isn’tย good. I’ve been truly inspired and love what I’ve read so far. It’s just that I can’t get enough of J.R.R. Tolkien’s stories. As a family, we’ve been spending time reading & listening to the books, watching the movies, Googling history about the characters, and, well, Middle Earth has captive my imagination right now. ๐
6. Journal 3x — I only journaled twice.
Home Management Goals:
7.ย
Spend 15 minutes cleaning/organizing in the basement8.
Move photos and files over to an external hard driveBusiness Goals:
9. Createย and photograph a DIY project to share in a future blog post
10. Photograph a product that’ll be featured in an upcoming blog post

What are your goals for this week?
Shelly says
It looks like you did really well on your goals, getting 6 of the 10 done is really good. I have a few closets that could use some organizing but I don’t think I’ll get to them this week. I hope you have a good week.
Sandra says
Thank you for the encouragement, Shelly! I hope you have a great week, too. ๐
Lydia says
I love how much you all have gotten in Middle Earth. What a great chance to get your kids digging.
Sandra says
It’s been a surprise blessing, Lydia. ๐
Erin @ My Mommy World says
I think you did a great job on your goals! Sometimes it’s also nice to have a break from some things ๐
Sandra says
Thank you, Erin! And Happy New Year, friend! ๐
Carolyn says
Made my list of goals for the new year.
Plan to lose 60 pounds by trying to exercise more and eat smarter.
Pay down my bills.
Be patient, my boyfriend has a great job, but a couple hours way. I pray he can sell his smaller home and he can buy a bigger home for him to be able to give me a ring so I can move my children into a new home with him. He will still need to work away from home for a few more years. My job won’t get us ahead, but I want my own home, and him there with us on weekends until he can be with me all of the time. I hope no one thinks this is being selfish.
