For the first time in quite a while, I was able to cross off all of my goals!
I’m not sure if that’ll happen next week, because life is returning to normal on Monday. The kids start homeschooling again, and I won’t have as much “free time” as I did during our two-week break.
Anyway, Happy New Year, friends! ๐
Here’s what I accomplished last week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family2.ย
Plan a fun family day— We decided to start watching The Lord of the Rings trilogy (again ๐ ) and enjoyed pizza and snacks.Personal Goals:
3.
Do resistance band exercises 4x4.
Walk a total of 120 minutes on the treadmill— In case you’re wondering, I get most of my treadmill time in while watching Dateline, Forensic Files, FBI Files, or 48 Hours with my husband after the kids go to bed. ๐5.
Read 20 pages of The Most Important Place on Earthย (affiliate link) by Robert Wolgemuth— This week I read about the power of our spoken words, and I’m working on changing the way I talk to my family. Words matter, and I want to use mine to build up and bring correction in a more loving way.6.
Journal 2xHome Management Goals:
7.ย
Spend 20 minutes cleaning/organizing the basement— I’m hoping that by spending a little time in the basement each week, it’ll end up a lot more organized, and I’ll get rid of things our family no longer needs or uses.8.
Spend 20 minutes de-cluttering the kids’ roomsBusiness Goals:
9.
Createย and photograph a DIY project to share in a future blog post10.
Photograph a product that’ll be featured in an upcoming blog post

What are your goals for this week?

Way to go, Sandra! You did a great job on getting all your goals done. The peppermint sugar scrub sounds great. I made sugar scrub for the first time last month and now I’m hooked.
I hope your able to decide what you want to do with your blogs redesign. I’m sure it will turn out great. Hope you have a great week!

Awesome job, Sandra! Feels so good to mark off goals doesn’t it!! Sometimes I wish that I had a treadmill to walk on. Maybe someday!
No goals for me again this week. Coming off a week with a sick girl. Happy New Year and Anniversary to mommy and daddy! Now think that we might be teething…or something that is keeping her up! My goal for this afternoon. relax on the couch with a book. Have to see if a little girl will take a nap! I really don’t know how you did it when David was sick! God gives grace!
Sandra says
Hi Lydia! I’m sorry to hear that your baby girl is sick. ๐ I think it’s wise to take it easy and not set goals this week.
When David was sick…the Lord was very gracious toward us. I’m praying baby E. feels better soon!
We were finally able to get a treadmill when I was pregnant with baby #5. It was (and still is) a blessing.
I hope you have a great week and Happy New Year, friend!

I love the idea of setting out goals like this, Family, personal, home management and such.
Thanks for the idea. I think I may start doing this! I write daily to-do lists, but I also like this idea! Thanks for the inspiration!

You’re welcome, Michelle! I actually got the idea from a fellow blogger – Crystal of Money Saving Mom. I’ve been setting weekly goals for a very long time now, and it truly does make a difference week by week. ๐
