Other than dealing with a headache due to lack of caffeine today, this week is off to a good start.
I crossed off nearly all of my goals for last week, except I didn’t finish and post the peppermint sugar scrub recipe. That’s okay, though. I’ve finally given myself a REAL deadline, so you’ll see it up here on the blog by Friday. ๐
Here’s what I accomplished last week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family2.ย
Plan a fun family dayPersonal Goals:
3.
Do resistance band exercises 4x4.
Walk a total of 130 minutes on the treadmill5.
Read 20 pages of The Most Important Place on Earthย (affiliate link) by Robert Wolgemuth6.
Journal 2xHome Management Goals:
7.ย
Spend 25 minutes cleaning/organizing the basement — This has become a fun activity to do with the kids over the weekend.8.ย
Create a cleaning schedule— On my Google Calendar, I scheduled the cleaning tasks that I want to remember to get done every two weeks or every month.Business Goals:
9.ย Post DIY project/recipe for peppermint sugar scrub — I have a deadline for this post now, so you’ll be seeing it soon.
10.ย
Spend 1 hour on my blog redesign— It was fun to dig in and get started on a new design, but I can see that it’s going to take forever to get it finished. Or not. If I keep it on my goals list each week, it should be ready for you to see sometime in the spring. ๐

Looks like you did a great job on your goals last week. Woo Hoo on getting started on the blog design. I think it’s almost better when you do a little at a time. I know when I redid my design I let it sit on my test site and I would check it off and on to tweak it a little. I’m sure yours will be great when it’s done.
We donated a few things last week. It was nice to get them out of the house. Now all I need to do is find a place to shred all of our old documents we no longer need. I usually would just burn them, in the wood stove, but it’s been a little warm to have a fire all day long here. Hope you have a great week!

Thanks for the encouragement, Shelly. I recently started working with the Genesis theme and Dynamic website builder, and it’s been a fun learning process. I still don’t know for sure what I want and what I think I want doesn’t always end up looking right for my blog. I’m excited to see how it all comes together, though!
Yay for warm weather in your neck of the woods! ๐ It’s quite the opposite here in Chicagoland.
I hope you have a great week, too!

Good job on your goals last week! I can’t wait to see your new design…I’m sure it’s going to be great!
My kids helped me clean out and organize two closets this past weekend. They seemed to have a lot of fun, plus I think it helped them learn to let go of things when they are done with them, instead of hoarding them like I tend to do ๐

Thank you, Erin! And I’m really inspired by how organized you are, friend! I’m slowly organizing things in the basement right now. We’ve either gotten rid of or donated lots of items over the past six months or so, and it’s made a difference. But there’s still more to go.
I hope you have a great rest of the week! ๐

I love that you changed your goal to spend an hour on web deisgn. Makes things a little more manageable and able to be checked off the list. Can’t wait to see all that you change! Hope you have a great week, Sandra!

Hi Lydia! I think the idea to update my blog design by spending a little time on it each week is going to work for me. ๐ It definitely makes the challenge more manageable.
I hope you have a great rest of the week, too!
