Last week was mostly productive.
I feel like I got a lot done because I scheduled it and then actually did the work. π
Here’s what I accomplished last week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1. Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family — We didn’t all practice the verses.
2.Β
Plan a fun family dayPersonal Goals:
3.
Do resistance band exercises 4x4.
Walk a total of 140 minutes on the treadmill5.
Read 20 pages of The Lord of the Rings (Part One) The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien — This is a long book with small print, so it’s going to take me a while to read through it. However, I love the story and know that it’ll be worth it.6.
Journal 2xHome Management Goals:
7.
Unpack one old, worn out box of pictures in the basement and place them in a new box8.
Scrub & clean the kitchen sinkBusiness Goals:
9.
Work on YouTube channel header— You can see our updated header here.10.Β Spend 1 hour on my blog redesign — I only ended up working on this for about 15 minutes. Instead, we spent a lot of time filming an intro & outro for our new YouTube channel, which ate up a lot of time. We even experimented with a green screen and wearing green “gloves” but things didn’t quite turn out like we’d hoped. Oh well! We’ve been learning a lot more about creating & editing videos, and things can only get better from here. π

Amazing what happens when we put our minds to doing the work! Hence why I need to get off facebook and work on the taxes that are around me. Oops!
Sandra says
Oh, Lydia! π Facebook was an issue for me, but around the holidays I finally got into a rhythm of not checking it regularly throughout my day. I also keep the matter in prayer because I know what a time waster it can be.
I’m actually wanted to get our taxes done soon, too, but I’m waiting on one last tax document to come in the mail…
I hope you have a great week, friend!

You did a great job this past week on your goals. It feels good to be able to mark things off the list doesn’t it. π
I checked out the new YT header and it looks great. I also noticed two new videos so my son is going to watch them now, since he just finished his homeschooling. You definitely have a fan in him.
I’m off to a good start on my goals for this week. I finished my product post and it’s scheduled. I have one other post written and two more to go for this week. I’ve already read to my son twice this week too. Much better than last week.
I hope you have another productive week!

Hi, Shelly! You are definitely off to a good start with your goals this week. Way to go! It helps to get some things out of the way early in the week and then you’ll be more likely to tackle the rest without feeling stressed. π
And I’m thrilled that your son likes our new YouTube channel! That makes me happy to hear, because we are trying to reach kids with the videos we post. We’re having fun making the videos and even editing them, and I’m glad your son enjoys watching them. There’s much more to come!
Erin @ My Mommy World says
How fun that you tried out a green screen! I’m sorry that it didn’t work out, but at least you tried…I can’t wait to see what you’ve come up with!
Great job on your goals, by the way π
Sandra says
Thank you, Erin! Actually, the green screen worked but the “green gloves” didn’t work out, which messed things up. π Live and learn.
I hope you have a great rest of the week, Erin!
