I decided not to post new goals last week.
The main reason being is that I needed a break from a few of my regular goals, and I wanted to go through my schedule/calendar and look for things I could cut back on or cut out to make more time to create, edit & schedule videos for our new YouTube channel. Basically, I wanted to find ways to work on our videos during more “normal” hours. π
I’d been editing and uploading the majority of our videos after the kids went to bed, and that resulted in late, late nights for me.
I’m so over that now. And I feel like I’ve reworked my schedule enough that I should be able to get to bed somewhere between 11:00PM and midnight each night.
I can live with that.
Here’s what I accomplished two weeks ago:
Family/Mothering Goals:

Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family2.Β

Here are my goals for this week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1. Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family
2.Β Plan a fun family day
Personal Goals:
3. Do resistance band exercises 4x
4. Walk a total of 190 minutes on the treadmill — I’m increasing this goal. The main reason that I can go up again in how much time I plan to spend on the treadmill is that I’m using the My Fitness Pal app to track my food intake & exercise. The app has been a highly motivating tool that I’ve been utilizing for a little over a month now, and I love it!
5. Read 20 pages of The Lord of the Rings (Part One) The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien
6. Journal 2x
Home Management Goals:
7. Unpack one old, worn out box of ‘stuff’ in the basement and place stuff in a new box
8. Fill one bag with items to donate
Business Goals:
9.Β Shoot & upload a video on how to make peppermint sugar scrub — I’m hoping to start posting weekly on my personal YouTube channel. It’s been months since I’ve uploaded a video there, but now that we have a working system in place for filming videos on our family YouTube channel, I feel like I can stop making excuses and start uploading to my own channel again. π

Glad to hear you have a system in place to get the videos done without having to stay up so late at night. That’s just not something you can do long term and be healthy. I hope you can get your video for the peppermint sugar scrub done this week and you have a great week too.

I’m so glad to hear that you were able to rework your schedule so that you can go to bed earlier. I used to work late after the kids went to bed, and found that my productivity was pretty bad, since my brain was so tired. So now I work a little bit after dinner and then hang out with my husband after the kids are in bed π

I do have issues with my brain not wanting to work anymore at night. π And I’m glad that I’ve been experiencing some success with getting to bed around 11ish most nights now.
