In the vlog I’m sharing today, we went to a sit-down restaurant, which is something we haven’t done since David’s Make-A-Wish trip in September of 2014. Then later that day, we stopped at Target to check out the Easter clearance. π

Looks like the kids had a fun time eating out and making the trip to Target. I love shopping the markdowns at stores, so many good deals to be had.

We had a great time, Shelly! π It’s so nice to venture out of the house more these days. It’s starting to feel less weird, and I’m loving it.

Wow, I can’t believe you had to go so long without eating out at a restaurant! I know that you had to be super careful with germs while David was on his immune suppressing medications, but I’m surprised that eating at a restaurant could have caused a problem. I probably sound so childish, but if I couldn’t get a break from cooking every now and then, I would go bananas!
I’m so glad to see that you all had a good time on your outing!

Hi Erin! We were very excited to finally be able to eat out at a restaurant again. π Restaurants carry a lot of germs, so that’s why we had to be so careful. There are a lot of rules after a bone marrow transplant…even things like eating leftovers is prohibited. The food has to be freshly prepared, and you must know that it was made in a clean environment.
Thankfully, those days are behind us, and we couldn’t be happier.

I love that you youngest kids played musical chairs while your oldest son stayed buckled in! Looks like you all had a ton of fun!

We did, Lydia! And my two youngest boys are just wild compared to my oldest son. LOL You’ll see a lot more of their wildness in future vlogs. π
Thanks for watching!!
