I hope your week is off to a good start.
We’re having a pretty relaxed day today. My older kids are finished with their homeschool lessons, and two youngest boys are outside playing with the water hose and watering cans. It’s an everyday occurrence right now. ๐
Oh, well! You’re only a kid once, right?
I’ll be heading to a long overdue eye appointment this afternoon with my oldest son, and hopefully, new contacts will be in my future soon! These “monthly” contacts that I’m currently wearing needed to be replaced like three months ago…
Anyway, as for my goals, here’s what I accomplished last week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family2.ย Read to my children 5x — We read together, but I missed my goal of five times.
Personal Goals:
3.
Do resistance band exercises 4x4. Walk a total of 200 minutes on the treadmill — I ended up walking for over 100 minutes but didn’t make it to 200.
5. Read 10 pages of The Lord of the Rings (Part One) The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien — I put this off until the end of the week and didn’t end up reading all 10 pages.

4. Walk a total of 100 minutes on the treadmill — I’m cutting this goal way down, because now that the weather is nice, I’m spending a lot more time watching the kids play outside and don’t have as much time to walk on the treadmill.

What are your goals for this week?
You did really well on your goals from last week! I missed a few myself but starting fresh again this week. My son wants to play outside with squirt guns and the water buckets but it’s not been quite warm enough here. Although it might get to 80 today. We have thunderstorms building right now. I’m sure the kids will like to watch the lightning if we get some.
Your goal of backing up your computer, reminded me it been about 3 months for me and I really should take the time to plug it in to the external hard drive and back it up. Thanks for the reminder. I think I’ll wait on cleaning up the desktop, it looks awful on my computer right now, I really should tackle it sometime soon. ๐

I need to get my kids some squirt guns this summer. I think only Nathan, my oldest, may have actually ever played with a squirt gun when he was younger, but I’m sure Isaac and David would love them!
My desktop is super crowded right now, too, and I need to get to cleaning it up asap. ๐
Ack! I love your goals for this week. You just reminded me of all the things I should be doing. LOL I need to backup my stuff, exercise and memorize scripture!!
I’m having a “reading week” to unwind from our crazy-busy school year. But I’ll hop back on the bandwagon soon. After I recuperate a little. ๐
A reading week sounds great, Gina! ๐ Our last day of school is going to be June 1st, and we’re looking forward to it!
And my computer constantly reminds me of when I need to backup and delete files. It has what I call a “heart attack” when I get to the point where I’ve used up almost all of the storage space and try to keep using it and applications like iMovie and Photoshop. But my computer is also “old.” I’ve had it since 2011.

The boys in our neighborhood, including mine, have been digging up the flowerbed area in between our house and the next-door neighbor’s house with all of their toy trucks and diggers. (Evidently, they have formed a construction company) They always have so much fun that I hate to make them stop…like you said, you’re only a kid once!

That’s so great, Erin! ๐ I keep reminding myself and my husband that they’re boys. And they like to play outside and get dirty, then come inside and get cleaned up. I also think back to the days when I was a kid and would make mud pies, etc… outside. I had so much fun and STILL remember playing with mud and loving it. LOL
Sandra, I am in the same boat with my contacts! I go next week to see my eye doctor. Been putting it off too long!
My appointment went well yesterday, and my prescription in both eyes isn’t as strong as it was before. Weird, but I’ll take it! ๐ Maybe eating healthier for so long has helped my vision. LOL
