I crossed off all but two of my goals last week. ๐
Here’s what I accomplished:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family2.ย
Schedule fun holiday events we normally partakeย in this time of yearย on the calendarPersonal Goals:
3.
Do resistance band exercises 4x4.
Walk a total of 120 minutes on the treadmill5. Read 10 pages of The Lord of the Rings (Part One) The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien — I got about 3 pages into my reading when I discovered a tiny little bug in my book. And that was it. I was done. And grossed out. And starting to feel itchy. So my book went into a big plastic bag and into the freezer. It’s still there.
6.
Journal 2xHome Management Goals:
7.
Schedule the kids’ homeschool “Christmas vacation” days on the calendar8.ย Fill one bag with items to donate — I pulled out a bag to fill and never put anything in it because I waited too long. Then I decided to forget it and go to bed. I’ll try again this week. ๐
Business Goals:
9.
Shoot, edit, & upload at least one new videoย toย our family YouTube channel10.ย
Delete files, etc… on my computer to free up more space — These files were backed up over the weekend, and now I need to get them off my laptop.
Here are my goals for this week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1. Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family
2. Celebrate David’s 2nd “Transplant Birthday!” — We’re going to put up Minecraft decorations, have special meals, eat cake and ice cream, open gifts — everything. Why? Because it’s a big deal. My son is alive — because of the kindness of God and the selfless gift of his donor. So we’re celebrating! ๐
Personal Goals:
3. Do resistance band exercises 4x
4. Walk a total of 120 minutes on the treadmill
5. Read 10 pages of The Lord of the Rings (Part One) The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien — I’m planning on pulling my book out of the freezer at some point this week. That bug (and any friends he might’ve had) should be dead by now, right?

8.ย Fill one bag with items to donate
Business Goals:

What are your goals for this week?
Erin @ My Mommy World says
Happy Transplant Day to David! It’s been so wonderful to see how well he has done since his transplant. Have you been able to talk to the donor? Will you be able to ever meet him?
I hope you all have a great week ๐
Sandra says
Thank you, Erin! Yes, we have exchanged texts and emails with David’s donor, and he’s a very kind man. ๐ But he’d like to remain mostly private online. We obviously want to respect his wishes, which is why we haven’t shared a lot about him. We’re hoping to Skype with him in the near future, though. David would really like to see him on the computer. ๐
I hope you and your family have a great week, too!
Shelly says
Happy transplant day David! It is definitely something to celebrate!
I’m with you on a bug in a book. I hate bugs. We’ve been battling ants at our house the last few days since we’ve had close to 6 inches of rain in the last three days, I do believe the ants are looking for shelter from the all the rain. I just wish they would find it elsewhere.
I hope you all have a wonderful week!
Sandra says
Thank you, Shelly! ๐
I’m sorry to hear you’re dealing with ants in December, though. ๐ Diatomaceous earth has worked for us in the past, but it can be a bit messy. I hope you’re able to get rid of the ants soon.
