Making Christmas cookies and monkey bread last week was a lot of fun, and both recipes turned out so well. ๐
We also ended up making Christmas candy with saltines, butter, brown sugar, and chocolate chips. It was delicious, too! And it came out perfectly on my first try. I used the recipe here and followed her tips.
As for my goals, I crossed all of them off my list.
Here’s what I accomplished:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family2.
Bake and decorate Christmas cookies with the kidsPersonal Goals:

Add New Year’s goals to my calendar — You know, so I don’t completely forget about them by the end of January.— All of my New Year’s goals are now in realistic time blocks on my Google Calendar. Yay! ๐ I plan on sharing some of my 2016 goals and maybe even a peek at my Google calendar in a blog post soon. Truly, after trying out lots of different planners, apps, and processes over the years, I now know what REALLY works for me in terms of goal-setting and getting things done. It’s my Google Calendar. From “Make Dinner” to “Edit & Upload” our latest video to “School with the kids,” it’s all on my calendar.

Way to go on getting your goals done Sandra! I’ve made the saltine candy before and it’s so good. Yum!
I look forward to seeing how you use your Google calendar and your school video. It’s always fun to see how others school at home.
I hope you have a great week!

I love that saltine Christmas candy! This was the first year I didn’t make it because we are dieting…hopefully I’ll be at my goal weight for next Christmas and we can indulge a bit more ๐
How wonderful that you’ve found a way to really schedule your goals into something that works for you. I’m more of a paper girl myself, so I haven’t tried Google calendar.
Sandra says
Hi, Erin! I used to consider myself a paper planner girl, too, but as I slowly started using Google Calendar more and more, I found it to work best for scheduling my days.
