Well, I finally got outside with the kids last week, rightย after I had taken that goal off my list. ๐
But I didn’t end up cooking with Elisabeth or working out to an exercise video. I kept pushing off the time I’d set aside for an exercise video to another day on my Google Calendar. And then finally, I just deleted it and decided that that goal probably wasn’t very realistic.
I’ve never stuck with working out to exercise videos long-term (unless you count Tae Bo back when I was a teenager…that lasted maybe a month ๐ ). But anyway, I don’t think I’m going to change and start enjoying exercise videos now, especially when I wasn’t looking forward to it last week.
Instead, I’ve decided that I’m going to focus on spending more time walking on the treadmill, which is something I feel is totally doable because the treadmill is located in one of our main living areas, and I can use my computer or watch YouTube videos while I walk. I love that.
Here’s what I accomplished last week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family2.ย Spend time cooking with Elisabeth

What are your goals for this week?

I try to keep busy each week. Sometimes I’m too tired to do it all and it gets pushed off. I do work out of my home part-time. I do the cleaning and cook 3-4x/wk. DH will cook the other days. I find exercise easier when i have someone with me ๐
This week, my 10 goals are:
Remove all of the caulk in the tub and replace it.
Fix the rust spots in the tub.
Pay the credit card bill.
Walk everyday that it’s nice to the market ( 2 mi).
Buy a few things for household/kid projects at the market above.
Move the stove to clean the sides and floor.
Sell some items on craigslist or donate.
Pick up my coat from the tailor.
Bake a blueberry pie or lemon cookies.
Wash my car.
I’ve been working on the bathroom for 6 weeks. DS#1 went to college and it needed repairs. So far, I’ve cleaned it top to bottom, caulked the floor, cleaned out the cabinets and replaced/sealed the grout in the shower. I have a bit more to go but hope it’s done by March. I may end up having to re-glaze the tub but at a cost of $1000, I’ll try other things first.

Hi, Lisa! Thanks for sharing your goals for this week. You planned a lot, and I hope this week has been productive for you so far. ๐
I would love to learn how to do more DIY projects around the house, and someday, my goal is to learn how to paint well. LOL
What do you use to fix the rust spots in the tub? We have a problem with rust around the drain and our solutions don’t work. I’d love to know what works for you.

Oh my goodness, I hate doing Tae Bo! I have friends that love it and recommended it to me, but after trying it twice (I really wanted to give it a chance…) I vowed never to do it again. Ugh.
I’ve really been enjoying your videos, especially the recipes and dinners. It’s always fun to see what other moms are serving for dinner and to discover new-to-me recipes!

Thanks for the feedback on my videos, Erin! I appreciate it. ๐
And like you, I love seeing what other moms are making and serving their families for dinner. You should film some of these types of videos for your channel! There’s a great community of moms on YouTube that I didn’t even know about until last year. They’re wonderful and very supportive of one another.
