It’s been a few weeks since I’ve written a goals post but since it’s still so helpful for me to do so, I’m going to keep at it. π
Believe it or not, writing these posts is beneficial because whether it takes me one week or three weeks to get most of my goals crossed off, it helps to have them written down for remembrance and accountability.
Here’s what I accomplished:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Work on memorizing a verse of scripture as a family— We’re working on memorizing Psalm 23.2.
Read books together as a family— We recently got new library cards and can now check out books from two local library systems so we have no shortage of books to read. I honestly prefer this to buying a bunch of new books or bringing a bunch out of storage since we’re still in limbo when it comes to RVing in the foreseeable future. My boys also love that we can check out video games and even “preview” games they’re thinking about possibly buying before making the leap to do so.Personal Goals:
3.
Finish reading the book of John in the Bible and get started on Acts— I ended up finishing Acts as well and now I’m reading through the book of Romans.4.
Email a friend back5.
Start using the My Fitness Pal app again6.Β
Journal 2xHome Management Goals:
7.
Work on homeschool plan for this year— It’s done and we started school this week.8.
Go shopping for new shoes for Elisabeth— She picked out new My Little Pony shoes that light up when she walks. πBusiness Goals:
9. Edit & upload at least one new video toΒ my YouTube channel — I started editing a video but have yet to finish. I’m trying to find my rhythm again when it comes to YouTube but it’s taking me a while.
10. Edit & upload at least one new video toΒ our family YouTube channel

We also use our library quite a lot, although we don’t have video games available to check out. Not that we have a video game system to use, but our son has recently started playing them at his friend’s house, and he really likes them. I’m trying not to encourage him though π
Hope you have another productive week!

Thank you, Erin! I tried to avoid the video game situation somewhat for my kids as well. Then we got a v-tech for my oldest son when he was young and there were lots of learning games available then. But, of course, that slowly opened the doors for my kids to purchase more systems (almost always with their own money) and now we have a Nintendo Wii U (they bought) and 3 Nintendo DS systems (1 was a gift, 1 was purchased by my oldest son, and we bought one for David when he was going to go through his transplant). My oldest son also recently purchased some of those super old Nintendo systems from my brother and he was pretty thrilled about that. π
Anyway, I’m glad they’re able to use the library sytem to borrow games to play. It’s nice that they get to use them and then they get returned. π
