I hope you had a good Thanksgiving holiday. We had a lovely day spent with family. π
I know I haven’t updated my goals since earlier this month, so I thought I’d share my progress and share new goals I have planned to tackle this week.
Here’s what I accomplished:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Work on memorizing a verse of scripture as a family2.
Go on a fun family outing — We’re planning on visiting Santa HQ this week for an event, and I can’t wait to create some great family memories. It already feels like the holidays are right upon us with the weather change and daylight savings and all.Personal Goals:
3.
Read through the book of Mark in the New Testamentand the book of Nehemiah in the Old Testament — I’m still working on the book of Nehemiah, but along with Mark, I also read through Luke in the NT. I love God’s Word, and I’m thankful for the renewed passion He lit in me for His Word while we were RVing.4.
Pick up a couple of dumbbells from our storage unit — Side note: I CAN’T WAIT until we’re no longer paying for storage. I’m so over it! LOL5.
Update my resume— I’m so glad to have this done because it’s been a loooong time since I’ve worked on my resume.6.Β

What are your goals for this week?
Shelly says
This week I’m working on a few new recipes taking videos and photos for them. I’m also hoping to work on my homemaking planner. I’d like to have it ready before the end of December which is quickly approaching.
My daughter finished her quilt top and hopefully tomorrow I can help her get it pinned so she can tie it and start using it on her bed. She has been working on it for a while.
I hope you and your family have a great week Sandra.

Hi Shelly! I hope your daughter’s quilt turned out nicely and she was able to start using it. Quilts are great and homemade is best! π

I’m glad to hear that everyone is doing well and had a great Thanksgiving! Here’s my 10 goals for the week:
1) Finish decorating the tree. It’s up but that’s as far as I got. It’s huge with it taking each branch being placed onto each level until it’s set-up.
2) Make a pumpkin chip bread, possibly sugarfree. I just have to figure out if that’s possible and the measurements of ingredients.
3)Make sugar free banana chip bread.
4) Since I was entrusted (with $20) to share good wishes to anyone I thought might need a pick-me-up, I have to buy some things for 2 people, that I thought might appreciate the gesture. The giver of this asked for one thing: Tell him what I did with the $20. He wants to spread kindness and has a fund that sends out $20 to people so they can share it. π
5) Keep helping DS2 with college scholarships. Gather the recommendation letters, fill out essays, mail it all in.
6)Wrap presents.
7)Visit my friend, who has pancreatic cancer. Things have taken a turn for the worse and she’s in the hospital. I wanted to visit her today but she is having surgery. I’ll try to talk to her son to get an update and see when is a good time to visit.
8)Put more things on ebay. I have put up some items but I think it’s time to let go of a lot of things that I haven’t worn in years.
9)Mail Christmas cards and gifts.
10) Start a investment account. I have no idea what I’m doing but I’ve been reading a lot about different accounts and all the details.

Hi Lisa! I hope you were able to accomplish all of your goals. The pumpkin chip bread sounds delicious!
I hope your friend’s surgery went well and she’s doing better. I’m sorry to hear that she had taken a turn for the worse. π
I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas! And thank you for being a regular reader of my blog! π

Glad to hear you had a good Thanksgiving π
I’m hoping to get some Christmas shopping done this week as well as fix some things on my blog.
Sandra says
Thanks, Erin! We haven’t started Christmas shopping yet but will soon. I hope you have a great rest of the week! π

Glad you all had a great Thanksgiving. My husband got 4 days off work which was so nice!!
I am sure it is a chore to work on your resume. I know I haven’t updated mine for a few years, and would not like to do it and my guess yours has been longer! Are you going to look for a job?
Sandra says
Hi, Lydia! I’m so glad you guys had a nice Thanksgiving! And now Christmas will be here in just two short weeks. Wow. π
It had been many years since I’d updated my resume, but I’m so glad that I did. I was thinking about getting a part-time job for a little while, but, thankfully, that idea has been shelved for now. The reason being is that my husband was just offered a great job with a good company and it’ll require some travel so I’m going to keep on doing my work-from-home thing (which I love) while he works outside the home.
