Last week was one of those weeks where things really didn’t turn out as planned, and I’m still trying to catch up. Thankfully, it’s a new week…
Here’s what I accomplished:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Do Bible devotions with the kids 4x2.
Visit the library — The library has been an invaluable resource this school year, and I know we’ve saved so much money by utilizing our local libraries more now than we ever did in the past. It’s nice to buy books and have shelves full of books in your home, but then again, in most cases, it’s nicer to be able to check out books for free and return them when you’re done.Personal Goals:
3.
Work on April budget4.
Exercise with dumbbells 3x5. Read the book of Luke in the New Testament and
read Psalms 3 to 34 in the Old Testament— I’m not finished reading through Luke so I’ll work on reading the rest of the way through this week.6.
Journal 2xHome Management Goals:
7. Clean up and organize the table where Elisabeth plays
8.
Fill one bag with items to donate and drop it offBusiness Goals:
9.
Return emails10. Shoot, edit, & upload at least one new video to my YouTube channel
Here are my goals for this week:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1. Read the resurrection story of Jesus to the kids
2. Take the younger kids to Easter egg hunts — I signed our younger kids up for egg hunts through our local park district, and they’re just for fun. Our kids know we truly celebrate Easter because of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. They know that He is risen and is our only hope for salvation in this world.
Personal Goals:
3. Meet with a friend
4. Exercise with dumbbells 3x
5. Finish reading the book of Luke in the New Testament
6. Journal 2x
Home Management Goals:
7. Clean up and organize the table where Elisabeth plays
8. Fill one bag with items to donate and drop it off
Business Goals:
9. Finish writing a sponsored blog post
10. Shoot, edit, & upload at least one new video to my YouTube channel
What are your goals for this week?

I have much to get done and wished there was more time! Here are my top ten for the week:
1) Get my brakes done on the car…I ordered the parts and have an appt to get them done by a mechanic this week. We’re expecting more snow so I hope that doesn’t impede anything.
2) Try to get youngest son’s costume sewn and finished. It’s for a school project and final grade.
3) Figure out how to attach the costume’s cape to the kid. I bought very heavy fabric and it literally pulls on him and slides backwards. So, I bought suspenders and a back brace to see if something can get figured out!
4) Update my list of important documents/contacts/policies as things have changed.
5)Make a dentist appt as a filling fell out! And I think there’s a cavity lurking around.
6)Make a MD appt.
7) Get blood drawn before the MD appt so we have something to talk about.
8) Put more items on ebay to declutter.
9) Ask youngest which bread recipe he wants to make and let him make it. I got an Israeli bread baking book and he was very interested in cinnamon rolls.
10) Ride my bike or do a exercise video every single day. I do go the gym quite a bit, but like to add something else every so often.
I’ve attempted to make a budget and the first several months were trial and error. Very frustrating as expenses popped up or bills arrived. I had no idea what I was doing so it helped. Now, I know which bills arrive every quarter and plan for it. It’s going much better!

Thanks for sharing your goals, Lisa! Israeli cinnamon rolls sound good. We bought some cinnamon rolls yesterday from IKEA and they were just okay…definitely not as good as homemade.
I’m glad budgeting is going better for you. I know it took me a long time to finally get a budgeting system in place that worked for us.
I hope you and your family have a great weekend, Lisa! 🙂

I need to see if there are any Easter egg hunts in the area. I just dug out the rest of our Halloween candy, so I am thinking it just may be time for some more candy. Ha! Hope you all have a great time celebrating Jesus resurrection!

Thank you, Lydia! I’m looking forward to Sunday! Happy Resurrection Day! 🙂

I hope your kids have fun at the egg hunt! We just hide eggs in our backyard, and the kids like looking for them 🙂

Thank you, Erin! My boys did their egg hunt today and it’s so funny to hear them talk about their experience. LOL – They had to use flashlights because it was at night, and they were only allowed to collect 10 eggs. Also, dinner was included but it was “only” a hot dog with a cold bun and some small chips. They’re still hungry… 😀
I’m hoping Saturday’s egg hunt for Elisabeth and David goes better.
