Hi, guys! Today, I’m sharing a Trader Joe’s grocery haul and asking for your questions regarding RVing. I’ll answer those questions in my next video. As always, thanks for watching! π
By the way, we ended up getting a lot of snow. Ruben’s flight home from work last Friday got canceled, then rescheduled, then delayed several times, and then canceled again. He was finally able to get a flight scheduledΒ forΒ last Saturday morning and made it home then. I’m looking forward to spring!
Well, I meant to update my goals more than I actually did last month. Hopefully, February will be better now that I have a couple of good blogging friends helping to keep me accountable for some of my online goals.
Anyway, I hope your year is going well so far. I’m personally looking forward to spring next month. I’m done with all of this snow…even if my kids aren’t. π
Here’s what I accomplished:
Family/Mothering Goals:
1.
Do Bible devotions with the kids 4x2.
Take the boys to swim class— They have 3 weeks left, and they’re doing a great job. I’m not sure they’ll actually be able to swim on their own by the last class, but our park district encourages kids to take the beginner’s class more than once, if needed. The instructor will make recommendations in the next two weeks and let us know if she thinks the boys should move on or retake this class.Personal Goals:

Finish reading through 2 Corinthians in the New Testament and read the book of Esther in the Old Testament— I ended up reading through these books and then reading through most of the New Testament again. I’m back in Revelation and should finish by the end of this week. Then, as usual, I’ll go back and start in Matthew in the New Testament and begin to read through once more while I continue reading the Old Testament at a slower pace. I’m in Job right now in the OT.6.

2. Go shoe shopping with Isaac — He really needs a new pair of shoes, but this child hates to shop. LOL π So that makes it hard to buy him shoes. Pants, shorts, and shirts, I can pick up without him but not shoes.

3. Download Disney photos onto my computer — They’re only available for so long before I can no longer access them, so I need to download them before they’re gone.

5.Β Finish reading through Revelation in the New Testament and the book of Job in the Old Testament

Every now and then, I come across a product I truly love.
And I know that I love it because I can’t help but tell other people about it. I bring it up in conversations and go out of my way to show it to people on my phone. I can’t help myself. I have to share it. There are few products I do that for, but one of them is the Logitech Home Security Camera.
The folks that work with Logitech sent me a Logi Circle Home Connection Camera to try out about 2 years ago, and I quickly saw the value in having a home security camera. It offers so much peace of mind, especially where you’re laying in bed at night and hear….a noise.
When that would happen, I’d just reach for my smartphone and open the Logi app to get a view of everything the Logi Circle was capturing in night vision and make sure everything was okay. And, thankfully, it always was.
Here’s our first Logi Circle. We still use it today.
Now a couple of months ago, the folks from Logitech offered to send me their next generation of home security, the Logitech Circle 2, for added peace of mind over the busy holiday season.
The Circle 2 is great because it’s weatherproof and can be used indoors or outdoors. Right now, we use it indoors.
It also has better HD screen resolution than our old Logi. Personally, I think the video quality of the Circle 2 is fantastic. If I zoom in, I can literally see what my kids are viewing on their computers. Nice!
With either Circle, another one of my favorite features is the 2-way talk feature. It’s wonderful because it allows me to call the kids down for dinner or talk to them when I’m away from home without me ever having to step in the room. I just open the app, press the talk button, and let the kids know it’s time to eat.
My husband also uses it to let me know he’s trying to call me when I don’t have my phone around. π
Oh, and if your kids get into a little sibling spat, you can find out what really happened with the Circle 2. This was an unexpected benefit I’m thankful for. By checking the video recording (which is saved for one day unless you download it or have a Circle Safe subscription), I’ve been able to get the facts on a few situations with my kids that needed to be dealt with. π
I can’t recommend the Circle 2 enough. It offers peace of mind and much more.
