10 Goals to Tackle This Week

I managed to get done with most of my goals last week, but I missed a few of the easy ones. πŸ˜‰

Here’s what I accomplished last week:

Family/Mothering Goals:

1. Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family — We didn’t all practice the verses.

2.Β Read to my children 5x

Personal Goals:

3. Do resistance band exercises 4x

4. Walk a total of 200 minutes on the treadmill

5. Read 10 pages of The Lord of the Rings (Part One) The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien

6. Journal 2x — I didn’t journal at all.

Home Management Goals:

7.Β Fill one bag with items to donate — Whoops! I think I accidentally deleted this goal on my Google Calendar, because I just realized that I had it scheduled and didn’t get it done.

8.Β Mop the floor

Business Goals:

9. Shoot, edit, & upload three videos toΒ our family YouTube channel

10.Β Shoot, edit, & upload two family vlogs

The Latest YouTube Videos on Fun Playtime Reviews

This is a Huge Iron Man Play Doh Surprise Egg - Avengers Age of Ultron - with Surprise Toys! #avengers #ironman

I’m a little behind in sharing our latest video uploads to Fun Playtime Reviews, so I’m going to get caught up in this post and share our last seven videos. πŸ˜‰

But before I get to the videos, here are a few YouTube-related things I’ve observed:

  1. Similar to blogs, YouTube channels with very specific niches can do really well in a relatively short amount of time.
  2. When you see an ad on a YouTube video, the person who created that specific video may or may not be getting the money that ad generates. For example, there’s an ad on this Fantasmic! video that we filmed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but we’re not receiving any money from it because the music that’s played during the Fantasmic! show is copyrighted. I’m guessing YouTube is sending that ad money to the copyright holders. Oh, and we have no control over the ad and can’t remove it.
  3. YouTube seems to show love to channels that upload often, and from what I’ve read, uploading videos anywhere from one to four times per week is ideal.
