Disney’s PLANES: Printable Activities for Kids, Airplane Videos and Games

This week I am bringing you really great links for Disney’s new movie PLANES! There are more printable activities for kids in addition to some fantastic Disney videos and online games.

Printables
This week help your child find Dusty’s matching pair in Match the Planes.

Then pull out the craft tees and the spray paint to create a Jolly Wrenches Squadron T-Shirt.

Videos

While your new PLANES apparel is drying, head on over to Disney’s FlewTube Videos. These videos are so great! There are a number of videos that include PLANES inspired recipes, clips from the new PLANES movie, and interviews with model airplane enthusiasts. You could literally spend hours on this site.

Leave it to Disney to create an appetizing smoothie with the word “mulch” in its title. The Vitamin A Mulch Smoothie looks crazy delicious! As do Dusty’s Rice Crispy Treats.

There are also a wide variety of paper plane video tutorials. I wish I had access to these tutorials when I was kid. All the other kids knew how to make super cool paper planes, as they show in the videos, AND they always beat my generic paper plane.

I have to say, though, that I have perfected my generic paper plane over the years and have since won several competitions as an adult. However, below is a link to one of the “fancy” paper planes that I am going to practice and save for my next competition!

In addition to the recipes and paper plane tutorials, you will find numerous clips of various plane facts. One of the video clips I found most entertaining showed the World’s Longest Paper Plane Flyer attempting to beat his own Guinness World Record for Longest Flying Paper Plane of 27.91 seconds!

You have to go check out the rest of the Disney’s FlewTube Videos. You and your kids will have so much fun discovering all kinds of fun facts and recipes!

Online Games
In these online games, you and your kids can help Dusty train and qualify for the “Wings Around the Globe” rally in Propwash Pursuit.

Then head on over to Jet Stream Racers to race in the rally and be crowned “champion of the skies!”

PLANES: “Race to the Finish!” Printable Activities for Kids

The new Disney movie, PLANES, flew into theaters on August 9th. Who of you has already raced off to see it?

Today, we have more fantastic PLANES printable activities for your kids to enjoy! (If you missed the ones we posted prior to the movie’s big release, you can check them out here.)

Fly Dusty through some daring airplane maneuvers to reach his friend in the maze game, Race to the Finish!

Do you have a burgeoning artist or two in your ranks? Let them Design an Airplane, and then Create A Pilot’s License so they can “legally” fly their creation!

On your next flight be sure to pack your Airplane Bingo cards! Keep your eyes peeled for such items as an airplane wing, flight attendant, and peanuts. This should keep the kiddos occupied for a bit. Just be sure to prep them on how to quietly yell “Bingo!” (if that’s even possible!) or come up with a special code action such as flipping over an empty cup on their tray table.

PLANES: Kids Printables and Airplane Activities

Have you and your kids reserved tickets to see Disney’s latest movie, Planes?

Coming from the super successful Cars franchise, this movie is destined to be a new favorite among Disney fans. And in anticipation of the movie’s August 9th release, Disney has created activities that the whole family can enjoy!

Create your own Racing Plane and compete in the Racer Game. Choose a paper plane template from six different Plane characters (complete with individual folding directions – which can always be a bit tricky!), then head outside for a family competition.

For those that love to color, choose one of the Coloring Pages that highlight four of the main characters from the movie.

Check out Disney’s schedule of international Air Show Times. If you have never been to an air show before, you must go! It is exhilarating to have the fast jets whiz over your head. Plus, most air shows display retired military aircraft and allow you to walk through them. If you are not near one of the shows listed, do not fret! It is by no means an exhaustive list. Spend a few minutes doing a little internet research for air shows in or near your area.

When your family goes to the Air Show, don’t forget Disney’s Planes Air Show Checklist! Search the runways for planes that are used in the military, planes that have one or more propellers, or planes that are made by the pilot himself. You even have a space to draw your favorite plane of the day and track all the different plane maneuvers you witness in the skies overhead.

Monsters University: Printables, Activities for Kids, and Recipes

Have you seen the new Monsters University, yet?

Disney has put together some fantastic family activities for their new movie that you and your kids are going to love! Including your favorite Monsters Inc. characters, Sulley and Mike, these creative games, coloring pages and recipes will leave you wishing you could attend Monsters University!

In addition to the activities above, you and your kids can also Test Your Memory with MU flashcards and Design Your Own School Crest. And if you thought you had seen every variation of “Pin the Tail on the Donkey”, think again. Have you ever pinned a badge on a “scare pig”? No worries, you can now with Archie on the Loose!

Recipes

After spending the morning in Monsters University activities, dish up some Cilantro Corn on the Claw and Mike’s Melonade. Then, once nourished and hydrated, arm yourself with a bit of construction paper, glue, a few paints and a nice round, Mike-like watermelon to create your very own Mike Wazowski! Click here for the super simple, yet completely life-like, Make a Melon Mike instructions. Also included in the MU recipe line-up are Roaring Ribs and Scare School Steak.
