I recently had the privilege of working with a return client, Debbie, to migrate her content from Blogger to self-hosted WordPress and give her blog a new look!

You may remember that I designed Debbie’s old blog, Heritage Creek, and while she loved that design, Debbie was ready to move over to a more robust self-hosted WordPress blog.

So she rebranded her site from Heritage Creek to A Million Skies, and we created a design for her that fit with her new blog’s name and her goals.

One of my favorite parts has got to be the social media icons.

Debbie wanted to keep the mason jar from her old blog’s design, so I thought up a creative way to incorporate it in her new design by using it for her social media icons. Aren’t they cute?

I love designing.

And I love working with clients who are fun and easy going to work with. Enter Emily of Dirt and Pearls. Emily was wonderful to work with, and she wanted a new blog design for her Blogger blog that reflected where she is at in life right now. She also wanted a fresh new design that reflected her style. So I created a design for her based on the information that she sent me that did just that.

I love how it turned out.

I recently had the pleasure of creating a new blog design for Kisha, who writes the blog, Just Kisha. It was a joy to work with Kisha. We recently got our new business cards in the mail from PrintRunner.

I love the way they turned out. These are, by far, the best business cards we’ve had made so far. I designed them in Photoshop and then uploaded the design to PrintRunner’s website and waited for them to come in the mail. I was a little concerned when I first uploaded them, because the color that I was seeing in Photoshop in CMYK (for Print – stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) wasn’t exactly the same as I was seeing on PrintRunner’s website after I uploaded the design.

My light blue color looked bright green on the web, but I knew that I was seeing them on the web in (RGB – red, green, & blue), and not in print in CMYK. If this makes no sense, don’t worry about it. 🙂 It doesn’t matter.

What matters is that the colors came out just as they should’ve in print, and I love our new business cards!

They have a nice glossy finish, too. Love that.

I tried to create the cards so that they wouldn’t be too girly or too masculine, so that both Ruben and I would feel comfortable handing them out. 🙂

I think I found a nice balance, and we’re both carrying them around now.
