I had a goal to get four videos uploaded to Fun Playtime Reviews this week, but we only ended up filming three.

And instead of trying to film a video on Sunday, I decided to simply move the fourth video I’d planned to film this week to next week.

And since I’m trying to post at least two videos to my personal channel each week as well, I think I may need to lower my goal for Fun Playtime Reviews to only three videos per week going forward.

Anyway, before I get to the videos, here are a few YouTube-related things I’ve observed:

1. If you have a video that YouTube doesn’t allow you to immediately monetize but instead decides to label it as “monitoring for possible monetization,” there is hope that someday it will be monetized even though (according to YouTube) “monitoring for possible monetization” means that it MAY or MAY NOT ever be considered for monetization. Have I lost you? I hope not. 😉
   

   What I want to tell you is that YouTube didn’t allow us to immediately monetize the very first video that we uploaded to Fun Playtime Reviews, but this week, they considered it for monetization. And it went from being labeled as “monitoring for possible monetization” to “under review.” I then received an email from YouTube and had to let them know that we weren’t violating any copyright with our own personal video, and a little later in the day, it was monetized.

2. Responding to comments that people leave on your videos is a good idea and a great way to let people know that you care that they took the time to watch your video and share their thoughts. 🙂
3. I enjoy editing our vlogs, and I laugh a lot while working on them.

I missed posting the videos we uploaded last week, so this week, I’m sharing those and the one video I’ve uploaded so far. I have a goal to upload a total of four videos this week.

I’m a little behind. 😉

Before I get to the videos, here are a few YouTube-related things I’ve observed:

1. YouTube is always changing, but I think the changes that YouTube makes tend to be for the better. This is unlike facebook another social media network that will remain nameless.
2. I used to upload my videos directly to YouTube via iMovie, but now, I upload them directly to YouTube via their upload tool. I think this way is better because then I can make sure my video is optimized for search before it goes live.
3. It takes A LOT of time and effort to grow a YouTube channel, but as long as you enjoy the videos you create, it’s worth it! 🙂
