Goals

So it’s taking me longer than I thought it would to get back into a rhythm with my weekly goals, but I’m going to keep at it! 🙂

Hopefully, I’ll be able to get through all of my goals this week and report back with an update and new goals next week…and not two weeks from now.

Here’s what I accomplished:

Family/Mothering Goals:

1. Work on memorizing a verse of scripture as a family

2. Read books together as a family

Personal Goals:

3. Finish reading the book of Matthew

4. Email a friend back

5. Schedule times to pray from my prayer list on my Google Calendar

6. Journal 2x

Home Management Goals:

7. Help Isaac take pictures and post some things on ebay — He wants to make some spending money.

8. Post items in a local garage sale group to sell

Business Goals:

9. Edit & upload at least one new video to my YouTube channel

10. Edit & upload at least one new video to our family YouTube channel

Here are my goals for this week:

3. Finish reading the book of Luke — I’m reading through the New Testament again, and I’ve finished Matthew and Mark so far. I’m over halfway through Luke and should get started on John by the end of the week.

5. Work on and publish a sponsored blog post

6. Journal 2x

Home Management Goals:

7. Work on August budget

8. De-clutter computer table

Business Goals:

9. Edit & upload at least one new video to my YouTube channel

10. Edit & upload at least one new video to our family YouTube channel

P.S. If you’re following our RV adventure this year, we still don’t have our RV back yet. When we got back to Illinois from Florida, we had a long list of things that needed to be fixed on it, and the main problem with the RV (the flooring) has yet to be repaired and probably won’t be until at least January. However, it sounds like we could get our RV back at some point in the near future and be able to have it until it’s able to be transported back to the manufacturer for the flooring repair early next year. All that to say, things are up in the air right now with RVing, and I’ll share another update soon if anything has changed.

Well, I ended up giving myself two weeks to work on my goals instead of just one.

I’m not planning on making that a habit, but it did help this time around as I work on making weekly goals a priority again. 🙂

Personal Goals:

3. Read the book of Revelation again — I love reading Revelation and have been spending lots of time there this year. And while I’ll still go back and read there regularly, I’ve decided to go ahead and start reading the New Testament all over again. My plan is to finish reading the book of Matthew this week. RV living has truly helped me fall in love with God’s Word all over again. I love it!

4. Email a friend

5. Create a prayer list on my phone — I did this and now I just need to remember to look at it often!

6. Journal 2x

Home Management Goals:

7. Work on our budget — Our budget was wrecked in Central Florida and, to be honest, for the first time in a long time, I stopped creating a monthly budget because it was so messed up. 🙁  We didn’t anticipate the higher cost of food there, and all I can really say is that I’m glad we’re back to normal food prices here in Illinois.

8. Wipe down electronics

Business Goals:

9. Edit & upload at least one new video to my YouTube channel — I started editing a video but never finished. I’m hoping to have a new video up by the end of this week. After taking such a long break from my channel to focus on other things, I’m having a hard time jumping back in!

P.S. For those interested, we don’t have our RV back yet. We did get an update on how things were going yesterday, and there are still several repairs that need to be made. We don’t have a date yet as to when we’ll get our RV back, but I’m guessing we’ll get another update from Rick’s RV in another week or so. Thanks for following along!

Hello! 🙂

I know it’s been a while exactly six months since I’ve posted my goals, so I think it’s time to get back to it.

As many of you know, my family has been on an RVing adventure since January of this year. We’ve been in Florida enjoying a whole lot of time together, and it’s actually hard to believe that we’ve been on the road for over five months now. But we have…in our tiny RV.

We recently decided to come back to Illinois (our home state) to spend time with family and get some much-needed repairs done to our RV. So at the moment, we’re staying at my mom’s house until our RV gets fixed. Once the RV is ready to go again, we’ve decided we’re going to stay in Illinois (RVing, of course) until at least the fall before we decide what’s next. Believe it or not, the weather here up North is better than the weather down in Central Florida right now.

It was VERY rainy, hot, and humid when we left and it’s been that way since the last week of May, so the beautiful sunny-yet-comfortable weather here in Illinois is refreshing and welcome.

Anyway, I’m going to try to get back to posting my goals on a weekly basis again in addition to publishing videos on our YouTube channels on a more consistent basis. I know I haven’t been publishing many videos the last few months and I want that to change. Truthfully, it was for good reasons that we took a break from sharing much online. We decided to start spending a lot more time studying the Bible as a family and getting closer to the Lord and each other. Besides those things, we also spent a good amount of time at Disney World. 🙂
