Thanks so much to Mega Bloks for Minions Mega Bloks Castle Adventure we received to review. We love it!

I have three new Minions movie toys Fun Playtime Reviews to share today. 🙂

But before I get to the videos, here are a few YouTube-related things I’ve observed:

After months of praying and trusting God to grow our channel in His timing and in His will, it’s happening! Aaaaaahhhhhhh! We started the week with 221 fabulous subscribers and right now, we’re at over 2,000! We can see that we’re over 2,000 on our end, but YouTube is currently showing that we’re at 1,936. We are thankful, amazed, and happy that our channel is growing like this after six months of hard work. We LOVE creating fun, playful kid safe videos and look forward to what God has in store for our channel going forward.Again…aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!! 😀
YouTube recently changed the look of the video player, and now it’s more transparent.
I started adding one or two hashtags in the “tags” area of our videos, but only if they’re relevant. For example, for our Minions reviews, I added the #Minions tag for some of those videos. Hopefully, this will help when people are searching for Minions videos to watch.

Family Dollar’s Just Add Family Event, Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs AND a Giveaway for $25 Family Dollar Gift Cards (4 Winners!)

And family memories are treasures that last forever, which is why Family Dollar held its national “Just Add Family” contest this year. They wanted to give one amazing family the opportunity to receive an all expense paid family reunion for up to 100 guests! The winning family would also receive a year’s worth of free groceries from Family Dollar. How fantastic is that? 🙂

In case you missed it, the “Just Add Family” contest winner was recently selected from thousands of online entries, and the winning family was the Williams family of Chicago! They received the Ultimate Family Reunion with Celebrity Chef Pat Neely at Washington Park in Chicago on Saturday, July 11th.

The Food Network Star, Pat Neely, surprised the Williams Family on July 9th at their home, and the Just Add Family reunion took place two days later with Chef Pat Neely serving as grill master!

Because what’s a family reunion without good food, right? 😉

Grilled Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs

One of the recipes Pat made for hungry guests was his classic grilled bacon wrapped hot dogs.

I recently created that recipe at home for my own family, and they loved it! Hot dogs are one of those super easy foods to grill, and adding the bacon and cheese only takes a small amount of extra effort that’s definitely worth it.

Here’s the recipe for Pat’s bacon wrapped hot dogs:

Pat’s Grilled Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs

Ingredients

6 hot dogs
3 slices of bacon cut in half
6 hot dog buns
6 slices of Kraft cheese
black pepper
condiments of your liking (such as mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, and pickle relish)

Instructions

Preheat grill to medium heat using Hickory and Charcoal chips. Carefully wrap each slice of bacon around individual hot dogs. Cooking tip: Use wet toothpicks to hold bacon in place. Sprinkle with black pepper.
Place hot dogs directly over charcoals on grill for 3-5 minutes. Cook until bacon becomes crisp and hot dogs become plump. Place hot dog buns on grill face down to toast. Fold cheese in half and place over hot dog on grill for last 30 seconds of cooking. Remove buns and dress with condiments of your liking. Place hot dogs onto buns.

Overall, the Just Add Family reunion with the Williams family was a huge success! They celebrated their time together, ate delicious food, and strengthened family bonds while creating memories they will never forget!

5 New Minions Movie Minion Toy Reviews (The Latest YouTube Videos on Fun Playtime Reviews)

I have five new Minions movie Minion toy reviews to share today. 🙂

But before I get to the videos, here are a few YouTube-related things I’ve observed:

There are lots of mom vloggers on YouTube, and I love gleaning tips and ideas from them. This past week, I found out about a great new homeschooling resource for my two youngest boys. And I saw two “homeschool hauls” where I learned about some inexpensive, but smart homeschool tools/supplies to pick up for when we get started again next month.
For days, my computer ~~lost its mind~~ was acting crazy again, so I deleted applications I don’t use often and updated it with every update available. It turns out there were only two or three updates I needed to make. I have an “old” MacBook Pro and had updated it to the (then) new operating system the last time my computer was giving me problems. The current updates I installed seemed to work, and old “Herb” isn’t giving me the blue screen of death anymore.
That’s great! But with the new updates also came the latest version of iMovie, which I’ve been dreading because I love using the old version. It turns out, though, I like the new version, and I’m actually editing videos faster with it. 🙂
Teaching your kids how to edit and upload videos to YouTube can be very helpful. I plan on working on these things more with Nathan and Breanna, my two oldest kids, once schools starts back up. Breanna is already helping out with thumbnails, though.

Our KeyLime Cove Indoor Waterpark Resort Family Adventure

I worked in collaboration with KeyLime Cove on this blog post. They provided us with a free one-night stay in a beautiful Toucan Suite, water park passes, and a $50 voucher. We traveled there on our own and provided for everything else (gas, food, desserts, game card, etc…) out of our own pocket. 🙂 #KeyLimeCove

Our family of seven has lived in Illinois nearly all of our lives.

In fact, Ruben, me, and our five kids were all born here…in the same town.

It’s true. 🙂

And because we’ve grown up, lived, and worked in Illinois for so long, we’ve been to many of the places located throughout this fabulous state.

But one place we’d yet to visit was KeyLime Cove — Chicagoland’s largest indoor waterpark resort!

We recently had an opportunity to stay at the resort in one of their beautiful two-bedroom Toucan suites, and we had an amazing time. I vlogged our little trip there and back home, so you can get a feel for what it’s like and also check out the inside of a Toucan suite.

It’s roomy and spacious enough to fit our family of seven.

Things We Loved About KeyLime Cove

We can’t wait for another chance to go back to KeyLime Cove and, hopefully, be able to spend at least two or three nights there. My kids didn’t want the fun to end so soon and kept asking if we could stay longer. They loved the whole experience.

We all did. 🙂

Fun Facts About KeyLime Cove:

It uses a state-of-the-art ozone disinfection system which provides impeccable water quality and clarity.

The pH value of the water is the same as a human teardrop.

Air is refreshed every 20 minutes during the hours of operation.

Pineapple Splash Bucket is 10 feet tall and holds 250 gallons of water.

Maximum occupancy of the waterpark is 1,476 guests.

Besides the waterpark, I know they enjoyed spending time at the RipTide Reef Arcade, which happened to have fun rides and games for all of the kids.

Before we headed home on the second day, we took some time to walk around KeyLime Cove and take pictures. I love the fun theming they’ve got going on!

It’s everywhere and really makes you feel like you’re on vacation.

Overall, the KeyLime Cove Indoor Waterpark Resort turned out to be a place we can’t wait to experience again someday.

And I’m thankful for all the wonderful memories we created there! 🙂
