We took a walk to Walgreens this week (I love having a Walgreens within walking distance.), and here are the deals we got:

I had register rewards from previous to keep my out of pocket low, and we may take another walk to Walgreens later today for a couple more things.

Update: I made a trip to Jewel this morning. Here’s what I picked up.

I ended up paying only $15.18 for everything. Here’s the breakdown:

$1.00 for blue Chicago Bears bath sponge (50% off)

$0.99 birthday table cloth (50% off – Nathan’s b-day is coming up and while we don’t have parties, a table cloth will make the occasion a little more special for him)

$2.50 for Donkey chips tortilla chips (so good!)

I made a trip to Walgreens this week and picked up some pretty good deals. Here’s what I paid:

$17.98 for (2) packs of Huggies Diapers ($8.99 each)
-$3.00 Register Reward when you spend $15.00 on Huggies diapers
-$3.00 Printable Coupon (I actually had two of these, but after I left the store I noticed that one didn’t scan. :-()
=$5.99 per pack (This is a little higher than I’d normally pay for diapers – even Huggies, but I thought we were just about out. Then after we got home, my husband informed me that he found two more packs under the bed. ;-))

Altogether, I think I made out with some pretty good deals. I’m planning on making another quick trip to Walgreens today to pick up a few more things. I’ll try to share what I got with you guys later today.

This next picture shows what I recently got in the mail from Bzz Agent.

I was invited to a Bzz Agent campaign to test out Cover Girl NaturalLuxe makeup…..for FREE. I’ve done a few makeup campaigns for Cover Girl with Bzz Agent, but this has by far been the best one yet. I’m enjoying using both of these products on a regular basis because they’re just “me”. I use foundation regularly, but this one feels so smooth and silky. And it’s the perfect color for my face. I use the gloss balm in combination with my regular lip gloss and that’s working out well for me, too. I definitely go for a more natural look when it comes to makeup, and I’ve been trying to switch more of my makeup products to natural ones, so, these products are right up my alley.

I just love being a Bzz Agent, and if you’re a mom or anyone for that matter, you might want to join, too. Bzz Agent is a word of mouth program where you get invited to campaigns to try new products or services for free, and in return you Bzz about those products or services to your family and friends. It’s a simple program with great perks. Free products, anyone? 🙂

It’s Saturday! That means it’s time to share the deals we got this week. Well, while I didn’t get this first deal this week, I did get it in the mail in the last few weeks and just hadn’t gotten around to sharing it. I got the Entertainment Book in the mail, and I got it for a great deal through MyPoints. If you haven’t heard about MyPoints before, I will try to do a more detailed post on it in the future…cause it’s a nice way to fund the Starbucks habit. 😉 But essentially, you earn points by clicking through emails, taking surveys, printing and using coupons off of their site, and a bunch of other stuff. You can then redeem those points for gift cards. Ruben has used his points to get me gift cards for my birthday, and we’ve also used points to get gift cards to local restaurants to make a family meal out more affordable.

These next deals came from Jewel-Osco, my local grocery store.

I was there picking up milk, eggs, cereal, etc…and I stumbled upon some great deals! Here’s what I got:

$3.49 for 6 pack of boys’ Hanes socks – 50% off! (Nathan needed new socks.)

$1.99 for Eye-Makeup Remover pads (78ct.) – on clearance

$1.99 for Wet n’ Wild Natural Wear powder – on clearance

$3.98 for (2) CoverGirl Bronzers with brush
-$2.50 mfgr. cpn. from 4/3 PG
=$0.74 each!

I ended up paying $9.84 with tax for everything. My favorite things were the bronzers because of the brushes that I can use with my blush as well, since I lost my blush brush a few weeks ago, and the natural face powder.

I made a trip to Walgreens this past week and bought home 4 packs of Walgreens brand diapers and 4 tracing pads for the kids for only $8.92!

The diapers were on sale this week Buy One Get One pack free. That’s a good deal in itself, but I had the $2.00 Walgreens coupon from the Baby Coupon Booklet found inside of some Walgreens store. That $2.00 ended up taking off an additional $2.00 per pack! Plus I had $5.00 in Register Rewards to use! Here’s what my transaction looked like:

$17.98 for (4) packs of Diapers (Buy one at $8.99, get one free)
$3.00 for (4) Artist tracing pads (These were on clearance for $0.75 each, and I couldn’t pass them up seeing how my children love to create books. I’ll have to post on that someday.)
-$8.00 taken off with the $2.00 Walgreens Baby coupon ($2 per pack was deducted)
–$5.00 in Register Rewards that I had from previous
= $7.98 plus tax

I walked out of that store a happy girl! But still…I can’t wait until the boys are totally, completely potty-trained. David just turned two, and he isn’t ready to start yet. I imagine I’ll start working on it in about six months or so. And I’m a cold-turkey kind of mom, so, hopefully it won’t be long after we start. 🙂
