A Quick Update

I’m sure you may have noticed that I haven’t been around much this past week. We actually went on a family trip to Disney World (more fun posts on that coming later). Now that we are back in Georgia, we are in full moving mode. We are picking up the moving truck today, and we’re going to start loading it up. After we close on the house here in Georgia, we’ll be making the trip back to Illinois.

So I won’t be able to be online much over the next few days, but after we move back in Illinois — posting will continue. I can’t wait to share our Disney trip with you…what we did and tips for how to save and enjoy your time at Disney World.

My ebook is available in PDF version again, and it’s on sale for only $0.99!

When I first launched my ebook back in September, I had it briefly available to download as a PDF. I had to remove that option from my book page, because shortly after I launched my book, I decided to try out Amazon’s Kindle Select program.

The Amazon Kindle Select program gives authors some additional perks when selling books on Amazon (like being able to offer the Kindle version for free for up to 5 days), but a condition of being in the program is that you can not sell your book elsewhere. This meant that I could not offer it as a PDF download here on my blog for the 90 days that I had opted into the program.

Overall, I liked the Kindle Select program, and I’m glad to have been able to offer my book for free for a couple of days (I decided not to take advantage of all 5 days Amazon gives you. In case you were wondering, nearly 9,000 people snagged the Kindle version that way! :)), but I want to be able to offer it once again as a PDF download for readers who don’t want to get a Kindle version.

So I didn’t renew to stay in the Kindle Select program, and my ebook is now available as a PDF download.

And it’s currently on sale on Amazon (Kindle version) and as a PDF download!

10 Goals for the Week

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We had a day filled with family, food, and gifts. We started by thanking the Lord for His most precious gift, Jesus, and then the kids opened their gifts. They received lots of LEGO sets, which they were extremely happy about. 🙂

Tomorrow, we start packing all over again. We’ve packed a good amount so far, but we have a lot to go. I’ve made a plan as to which rooms will get packed on certain days, and we have to stick to that plan. So I’ll be keeping my goals pretty simple and centered around our upcoming move back to Illinois.

But first, here’s how I did with last week’s goals:

Family/Mothering Goals:

1. ~~Keep up with adding one ornament to the Christmas tree everyday until Christmas~~ — We didn’t do this perfectly, but when we missed a day, we’d just do it the next time we added ornaments.

2. ~~Make Christmas cookies!~~ — We made Christmas cookies twice, and I definitely want to share the recipe I used here on the blog. They turned out so delicious!

The kids decorated the cookies, and they were so good! Perfect sugar cookies!

Personal Goals:

3. ~~Juice at least 2 days this week~~

4. ~~Pray~~ — And continuing to pray…

5. Walk on the treadmill 4 days this week — I never ended up getting on the treadmill, but I did spent extra time walking around a few stores. That counts as exercise, right? 😉 I also spent lots of time on my feet, cooking and baking in the kitchen.

We decided to purchase an Ergo baby carrier for Elisabeth, so I’m hoping that I’m be able ‘wear’ Elisabeth in the carrier while I walk on the treadmill. It should get here on Wednesday, and I’m super excited! I’ve used baby wraps in the past, but for quite some time Elisabeth hasn’t liked the moby wrap I had been using with her.

She likes to be held a ton, and my arms and hands are actually starting to bother me when I carry her now. I think the combination of carrying her and using the computer is starting to affect me physically. Not good. But I’m hoping she’ll love the Ergo, and I can use that to carry her around the house.

Home Management Goals:

6. ~~Plan an activity for our little family Christmas party~~

7. ~~Pack~~

Business Goals:

8. ~~Work on client projects~~

9. ~~Write 3 blog posts~~

10. ~~Create one video~~

And now for this week’s goals:

Family/Mothering Goals:

1. Help the kids pack up their rooms

2. Go out for a family lunch

3. Juice at least 3 days this week

4. Pray about moving, the closing, and a family trip

5. Walk on the treadmill 3 days this week

Home Management Goals:

6. Follow our packing plan

7. Clean, clean, clean

Business Goals:

8. Work on client project

9. Write 3 blog posts

10. Take extra time off of working
