The Sensible Mom

I did pretty well with my goals last week, and I was able to cross off all but one. 🙂

Here’s what I accomplished:

Family/Mothering Goals:

1. Continue to work on memorizing two verses of scripture as a family

2. Plan a fun family day

Personal Goals:

3. Continue working on a Family Vision for our family

4. Walk a total of 100 minutes on the treadmill

5. Read at least 5 pages from each of these books: Toward a Growing Marriage by Gary Chapman, Be the Best Mom You Can Be by Marina Slayton, and Influencer Marketing for Dummies

6. Journal 2x

Home Management Goals:

7. List an item to sell

8. Cleans the bathrooms

Business Goals:

9. Shoot, edit & upload at least one new video for our family YouTube channel — I only filmed part of this video.

10. Shoot, edit & upload at least one new video for my YouTube channel

P.S. If you’re keeping up with up our radon updates, I sent in the test canister and we got the results last week. Basically, the radon level in our basement is just under the “action level” put out by the EPA. The EPA recommends that there be action taken to fix radon levels above 4.0 picoCuries per liter of air. The reading in our basement is 3.6 picoCuries per liter of air. At that level, it’s recommended that you consider getting things fixed to bring the level down.

For us, because we’re renters, the results mean that our landlord is going to do absolutely nothing. But at least we know the level in our basement now.

To put things in perspective, having a radon level of 3.6 picoCuries per liter of air is like having nearly 200 chest x-rays per year. 🙁

Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a great 4th of July holiday. We’re spending the day at home because we’ve been sick with colds all week.

But because we’ve been spending so much time at home, I was able to get a lot of my goals crossed off early, and I got everything accomplished on my list except for filming a video for our family YouTube channel. I decided to bump that video to this week to give my throat/voice a chance to recover from this latest illness.

8. Catch up on all the laundry — After two weeks without a working dryer, we should finally have a new one installed tomorrow. Yay! I will have help catching up on the laundry because my husband, son, and daughter all pitch in in this area. Together, we’ll get it done.

Business Goals:

9. Shoot at least one new video for our family YouTube channel

10. Edit & upload at least one new video for my YouTube channel
