Frugal Friday: We paid off our car!

I so excited to share with you guys that we have paid off our car! The check has cleared the bank account, and it’s done. Our car finally belongs to us. To put this into perspective, we got our car about 3 weeks after Isaac (pictured  jumping for joy) was born. Isaac is now over 4 years old.

As for our other debt…by the grace of God, we do not have credit card debt, but I do owe over $2,000 in OLD student loans from back when I first went to college after high school. I haven’t and will not take any loans for any current college classes that I’m taking. Looking back, I know I didn’t need to take the full amount of the loans that I took after high school, but I took them and now I’m paying for them. Ouch. Anyway, I’m hoping to have those paid off by the end of the year, too. Not having a car payment has made a HUGE difference in our budget, and we plan to keep it that way as long as possible.

I love this debt free feeling even if we aren’t all the way there yet, we’re getting there!

Happy Friday!
